By the way, the cover illustration is the colored line-art from that newspaper, when the current season started. |

I wonder if the story itself is included. |

Probably. It's possible it could also be 25, if Hanamonogatari was intended to be 5 episodes... but I personally doubt it. I suspect it's 22 episodes, 4 recaps, and then 4 more episodes to air in 2014 in some form or fashion. (So not so unlike how the first season was 12 episodes with 3 to air later, which is a point they mention too.)

But, scheduling a special broadcast won't be too hard in any case; they'll do when it's ready. They could also go the online-only route as they've done a few times now as well.

The other Neko cover is out. I've been trolled into thinking the second cover is the other bench with black hanekawa sitting on it. Fuck this shit. |

Well they are at least including the rest of the letter in Neko White as bonus audio, which is a nice gesture, but I feel it was too little too late in some respects. SHAFT has cut out a lot of important stuff for Hanekawa's story since day one, and has minimalized her character even (most people who finish Neko White think that things will be peachy with her family now that she asked for a room).
So, good on SHAFT for a nice adaptation and nice gestures, but as her sendoff arc it is still lacking, and shows the bumps made along the way. |

Ah, but Hanekawa is strong. She is no damsel, and now that she is truly whole, I have no trouble seeing her facing the obstacles in her life from now on. It is not about living happily ever after, it is that we know she would be able to take care of herself now.

Oh I know. It was just a shame that the real gravity of her situation isn't really known to anime watchers. Only hope Nisio has some interesting cards down the road to play, because while this would be a decent sendoff, the character evolution missed important critical steps for people who didn't read the novels.
