Great set of songs for episode 17 and 18.
Particularly Love! Thunder Grow as expected of Junna/ Mikumo.
It got even harder to wait for the second ending theme to come out.

Thank goodness it'll be coming out in like 8 days! I really like both OP and ED (albeit ED more thanks to episode 18); and a solo each for Freyja and Mikumo on Giraffe Blues is awesome.

Now I sit around and re-listen to Ruin of Pure Heart TV size on repeat

Episode 18 ending song was really of my liking. The whole music for Delta should have been more in that line.

The ED featured in episode 18 of Delta is the only OP/ED piece I find to be awesome.

Definitely the best cover yet. I really like these outfits.

Glad we're getting a Freyja solo for GIRAFFE BLUES since I thought we wouldn't and really wanted one (I hope we get more Freyja solos for a lot of other songs but that's just my Freyja bias. ) I like Zettai Reido θ Novatic a lot more than Ichido dake no Koi nara so I'm looking forward to that. Hametsu no Junjou is fortunately just as good as Rune ga Pikatto Hikattara.

...Frontier didn't really have sparkling or interesting album covers, if I remember correctly (even for Lion). In fact, the cover for Sayonara no Tsubasa's soundtrack is not even as appealing as this new cover for an OP/ED single, IMO.

I was more concerning about the outfits of the Walkure, since they reminded me of Wings of Goodbye. You have to admit, its similar to Sheryl's.

I believe Kawamori is going for something close to AKB0048 on its album covers because of the girl singer band in Delta.

Actually, their outfits remind me of Sheryl and Ranka in Macross 30: Voices Across The Galaxy.

I never said it didn't.
Quite a number of things from Frontier are copied into Delta; and all I know right now is a bit of what it's copying is things I liked from Frontier (minus its music which is more AKB0048 style, something I did not grow fond of).

Just like Frontier copied it's predecessors. It's a tribute kind of thing.

I'm still waiting for the confirmation that Minmay's earrings are fold quartz, by the way.

I won't share download links but if you search around on Nyaa for the Japanese title of Macross Delta you'll find someone obtained the new OP/ED single 4 days ahead of time (how?) and uploaded it. How in the world can you get it 4 days early?

That's happened with every Delta CD release thus far. I still preorder and buy.

The leaks probably aren't deliberate, because there have to be some sales loss from the consistent pattern of the one-week-early leak, but most of the preorder purchasers aren't likely to change their minds, and the net effect may be that more people do buy it anyway, as often happens.

I like a leak sometimes because I can listen to the album ahead of time and determine if it's worth a buy or if I'll grab individual songs on Amazon.

Listening to Absolute zero θ Nova tick is... less of a good song than I originally believed; it doesn't have the power of the first OP which is sad. And I believe I'd like a Freyja and Mikumo only version of Ruin of pure heart; because it's not as powerful when Reina is the one with the "I love you" lyric... maybe because I've re-watched episode 18 so many times... And I hope there is an acoustic version of The wind blows without notice (insert song in episode 16) because I like it more when it was a Freyja only song and she sang it without music in the background. Will listen to the solos later.
