[Manga] Chapter 41 : The Fetters that Pledges Make

The group gets to hammer out the controvesies over the Maria Ross affair and Edward gets a brief discussion with the Ishuvaruns over mutual acquaintances ( of course, knowing Ed, he always had to knock someone's head in at the start )... Of course, we shall remember Bunny...

Didnt Winry's parents get killed by Roy?

Anime only. It was unknown in the manga until this chapter, but 41 confirms that someone else killed them.
Spoiler for i wonder who?:

Awesome chapter, but what a cruel way to end it. I hope this isn't the last we see of Maria Ross either.

Thanks for the quick work Yebyosh

Thanks for the chapter

Ed's expression looks like it's a mixture between extreme anger & shock. I'd be scared if I were Hohenheim I wonder if Ed will even give him a chance to explain himself. I hope we find out why he left to find the philosopher's stone. Now that he's back, does that mean he's found it?

He is, sadly. What you saw in 41 was just a flashback explaining the scheme to save Maria Ross, which happened before Barry was killed.

The "Bunny" thing was just a codename. Roy tends to pretend he's talking to women when he's really talking in code (See chapter 37 for another example).

Holy crap! What a chapter indeed. ;_; Although the fact that Roy wasn't the one that killed the Rockbells makes things a little dry...but then the other events happening makes up for it. If it is true and that Hohenheim is the homunculus' father...evil bastard.

Can't wait for the next chapter, looks to be juicy.

I liked that, it keeps Roy and his reasons for his ambition still mysterious this deep into the story. It would of been more of a let down for me if it was exactly the same as the anime. It'll be more interesting to see what Arakawa-sensei does when she chooses to go into his past/the ishvar war.

But the Scar/Scar's Brother/Whoever killing the Rockbells was surprising....

These monthly waits are killers.

Although I understand where you're coming from, the fact that in the anime Roy killed Winry's parents makes him human, just like the rest of them. Everyone has their own guilt and in need of repentance and to see the form of guilt - in Roy's case, Winry, appear before them makes it a little fun to watch. I want to see everyone squirm you see, their past haunting them.

But yeah, it be interesting to see what Arakawa-san has for Roy.

Although Roy did mentioned that making carbonized corpse is his speciality.

Yebyosh, you're the man. Thanks for translating so fast. And I really appreciate how you put down the literal translation together with your translation (which fits way better into the story, by the way). Great job and thanks again!
