Yes, it's a short. As mentioned in my season preview (link in sig).
I've just seen episode one, and although I hoped for more, and for fewer cliches, this was an okay beginning. Ono Saki (President Unko in Himegoto) was good as the spirit. No Yuuki Aoi yet.

Kind of bland, but I actually think the dialogue is pretty good for what it is, and the characters, while tropey, have an edge that makes them feel a bit more interesting. This show condenses a lot into three minutes, so I will definitely keep watching it.

Alright, episode 2 was much livelier. I warmed up to Hakone-chan's charms this time. The bathing scene was pretty neat for what's it worth and Hakone vomitting magical hot spring water is just ridiculously hilarious. LOL I'm sure anyone who watched Squid Girl was reminded of the black version of that, haha. Finally, one of Hakone's powers seems to be the strengthening of bonds. Too bad its effect was rather weak, but it still went into a very... nice direction, love confession included. This was definitely a good step up from the first episode and I am now looking forward to more.

Ep 02
Actually added in a few elements when compared to the manga itself, but not ineffectively. I felt the dialogue was a little faster this time, and while it was not bad or anything I personally prefer things a little slower. Though hey...with the time allotted to shorts it is understandable, I guess.

I guess I have simple tastes. I'm enjoying this show. And I like a little quicker pace than some people do. All the required emotional effects (such as they were) were still there for me.
Ono Saki is doing a nice stylized voice as Hakone-chan. I liked it when her powers allowed the osananajimi to confess (temporarily), and when Touya wanted to make the confession permanent. A rare osananajimi win?

I liked the 2ne episode, for 3 minutes we got a lot of stuff shown, the little Haruna sister, the bath scene, Hakone showing off her water power and her love steam power and glasses-guy seeing a chance to get his Haruna-nee love him if he gets Hakone back to her old power although she got no clue how. xD

I seriously thought she wet the bed... well, she did. But not in that way... and not in that way either! She better learn some self control from Ika Musu- *suddenly remembers Ika-chan drooling at shrimps* nvm.
Also:"She's cute, and she can manipulate water. That's perfect." ... eh? Hello, ladies? That's not what humans are capable of! lol Be a bit more suspicious of Hakone, will you? While I still find the episode too short (don't worry, I will get used to this by next episode... probably), the pacing felt better this time and for three and a half minutes it's still quite charming.

Ep 03
Well...light hearted and enjoyable...and I agree that the "roll with the daily weirdness factor" is strong in the neighborhood association. XD

Those adults are just taking it as normal cause they see the profit in having a little water spirit with magical powers lead tourists through their town. xD
Hakone is adorable with her childish pride and overconfidence.^^

I think they should be glad she's still so small. An adult Hakone would have flooded the entire house in her sleep.
And let me agree with all those who say this is too short. It's definitely not a bad show, but it's over before you can really get into it, thereby wasting a lot of potential.
