Chitose Get You!!
Original creator : Etsuya Mashima Plot summary : The story follows an 5th grade elementary school girl named Chitose who wildly pursues the love of Hiroshi, an older young man in his twenties who works at the town hall next to her school. Note : Etsuya launched the slice-of-life comedy manga in Takeshobo's Manga Life Original magazine in 2002, and the seventh compiled volume shipped in 2010. The manga received its first drama CD adaptation in 2005, and a second drama CD shipped in 2006. This manga, although having an huge age gap romantic plot between a 5th grade elementary schoolgirl and the twenties-something man, isn't ecchi so it does not have disgusting moments like Kodomo no Jikan. I wonder if this one would be slatted in summer in the Takeshobo 4-koma anime slot.

I read the first 6 chapters that have been translated so far and found it quite charming and even occasionally funny.
Even with knowing the manga contains no real fanservice, I'm sure people will whine and bitch about this being 'Lolicon Fetish Fuel' anyway.

ANN says that it will start airing in July:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...emiere-in-july Wonder if this will indeed take Recorder & Randsell Re's slot or if it will take Yurumate3Dei's spot. |

According to AT-X schedule, the anime will be directed by 佐野隆雄 (I don't know about the translated version though) at Silver Link and the cast is announced.

I'm looking forward to their performances, the former just starting out by fulfilling her dreams to become a pro seiyuu, while the latter making what I think is added variety to her seiyuu work outside Shin-chan and Conan.

First episode was setting up the premise, and only that. It's a 3-minute anime (there's a lot of these lately... not that I mind), and it looks like Chitose's view of the world will be the main thrust. I'm interested because this marks the second major role for Sora Tokui. She does a good job as Nero, but I want to see what she can do elsewhere.

Just short enough, but damn sight comfortable and funny than the last show (from a different studio) that ran for 23 minutes but rehashed Azumanga Daioh gags.
I'll give this show a shot for three episodes.

It was surprisingly watchable... of course thanks to its duration
Anyway, I liked Chitose's VA, she really sounded very childish, but if I had to hear her talking like that for 20 minutes, I would have stopped watching. |

I found it mostly uneventful, but I expect things to kick up throughout the next episodes. Still not a huge fan of the character design, but maybe it just takes some getting used to.
Still, this first episode could've been worse, and I must admit that I did like it overall.
