Actually this is more like a mix. The voice (Surisuri) was added for this scene, but the guitar is from the start of "12 - Sarutobi" from Naruto OST 3. Check it out you'll see.

i know, i have "sarutobi", but i was wondering if that mixed version can be found anywhere, it's not on any of the OST's and i've looked everywhere, also, i tried to find the mixed version of "heavy violence", but i can't find it anywhere either, i'm starting to think that the mixed songs were made just for the anime tv show and won't be released, or they're going to be on OST 4 when and if that's ever released.

You would pretty much be right, the official OST's are the official, when they use something in the anime that seems different or new its usually something from one of the OST's that has been altered, speed up, slowed down, things added, cut and edited. These versions will never come out, unless there is some leak from some one who actually works for the anime team or something like that.

Most likely a track from that early on in Naruto, wont have a chance on another OST. OST 4 would probably be from Naruto Shippuden, rather then Nartuo.

of course they won't be released. Most of the songs used in the anime are remix or unreleased.
Just look at the last 2 pages of this thread. People are asking for a Tenten theme remix (while the Tenten original theme is not even released), a Grief and Sorrow remix and 3 different unreleased tracks.
The songs released are only the most played (and the ones played during the most emotional moments : Hinata vs Neji was only played twice before it came out, during that fight of course and during the Hokage funeral. Hokage was played twice as well : when Sandaime had his flashbacks about all the Konoha shinobis and when he died)

And there won't a fourth OST. The new soundtrack for Shippuuden killed the possibility I think.

Could any of u guys tell me the name of the instrumental song that starts playing at 10:30 minutes of naruto episode 166 [special 45 mins].

Ive been trying to find the name of it. the closests ive found is tenten's theme. but i want the exact one thats starts playing at the listed time above.

did anyone else notice that

In Naruto episode 64 (where Temari fights Shikamaru), what is that shamisen solo track that is playing around 19:16~19:54 (right when Shikamaru is slowing raising his hand and Temari is forced to follow)? I know that the song closely resembles (or is probably) "Turn Over" in the first Naruto soundtrack, but it has all of the orchestra-like suite in it as well. I was wondering where I could obtain this piece that is just the shamisen (i.e. the Japanese "guitar" like instrument that is performing the) solo without all of the orchestra-like stuff. Your help is a great deduction.

Hmm, I have all the soundtracks and that piece is not on in. Just the one that is playing before, the raising fighting spirit. It was probably just used to make the atmosphere right or something...

It is yet another one of Toshiro Masuda's infamous unreleased tracks. I don't expect that it will be available any time soon unless someone with intimate acess to Tosh manages to leak them on the net.
