So Houou and Emonzaemon definitely has some past relationship (don't read into my wording too much please...).
But...did Houou gain his ability by training with Mon-kun, or by using his ninpou on him?

And Pengin is childish because it's a toll for his extra luck? (Though apparently Mon-kun's luck trump his.......*goes off again to cry over the poor thing's last words*;;_;

Let me start with a "NOOOOOO TOGAME!!" ;____;

Oh man, what a cliffhanger! I can't see how Togame will be able to survive this, in fact, she most likely won't. The preview for episode 12 is starting to make sense. I hope Emonzaemon and Hiteibitch will get what's coming to them. I'm also curious to find out what Togame's last words will be... this will be heartbreaking.

That was an amazing episode. It looks like I wasn't too far-off last month, there was someone able to see the future, but it was Kiki. That explains a lot about the deviant blades. Togame's real name is Yousha, huh... I should have guessed . Her and Hitei were destined to hate each other.

Penguin's death was pretty sad as well. Poor kid looked so pitiful ;_;
In the end, I'm not sure what to think about the Maniwanins' role in the story. They didn't do much besides getting slaughtered. Oh, and we saw Koumori again; this ought to make a certain someone happy.

Well, the entire episode was just leading up to that final scene with all the heavy foreshadowing, what with all the time spent reflecting on how the journey was about to end complete with the autumn setting etc. :/ It was like one entire tvtropes article. Heh. It was still great. About time Togame got what was coming!

I love Emo-man. Even disregarding his killing (well, I guess I'll have to wait a month to find out if she really dies; I've tried very hard to keep myself from spoilers) of Togame, I loved how he gives this great speech about killing children and then blew Pengin-boys brains out, and then to top it off...mocks his last words without using a mocking tone of voice; *laugh* he's got to be the best character in this show (well, maybe behind Nanami; she's been dead so long she's kind of faded from memory unfortunately).

I really have no idea what Shikizaki's end goal really is/was. I get the impression he had no real intention of "winning" that fight against Shichika. He seemed really happy during that last sequence of blows where he kept missing, and certainly "died" with a big smile on his face. I mean, it's like it's all part of what needed to be done to "complete" Shichika (though I have no idea why/how). I guess next episode well show us why he wanted Shichika "completed". I hope.

I suspect I'm missing a lot by not knowing my Japanese history. I have this vague feeling the show is based on some historical period/people. Because I really don't know the significance of Togame's father/name/etc, and why one should care for why she wants revenge and how this ties into Hiteihime's apparent hatred of her etc.

Anyways, I can't wait for the final episode. It's been a great series to watch, with a host of great characters; even if the actual two leads were duller than dry paint. Everyone else has been great. Especially the Maniwa corps. I feel so sorry for all of them. :/

Back to Mr. Awesome Emo-man; I'm curious as to what he was talking about when he mentioned Pengin's luck not lasting several hundred years into the future, and how exactly that was responsible for him being able to defeat Pengin's "luck". I mean, after the reveal about Shikiazaki's family and their ability to see the future, I feel like it must have something to do with it, but I really can't see how.

Oh, and would it be safe to assume Hiteihime is able to see the future as well? Is she basically continuing on Shikizaki's goal or opposing it? Her speech about dying beautifully; I'm not sure if she was referencing Shikizaki or Shichika. :/ Oh well, I'm sure it'll all be explained next month.

You know I'm really sick and tired of hearing all these stupid spoilers and hints every fucking time i go on this thread. Even when I intentionally limit myself to posting one for every episode, I still end up regretting it.

Well that was one hell of an episode. The fight with the swordsmith was rather anti-climatic but I guess it was supposed to be. I suppose he must have also predicted what Emonzaemon would do, since the narrator tells us that Shichika is now complete.

And yeah, I also loled at Touma at the start.

its even more painful to watch with subs, its not fair, every fucking real movie has a happy end (besides titanic maybe) where the guy gets the girl and everyone is happy (and i so dont care if a main character in a real movie dies^^), but in good animes u always have to pray that they survive and they rarely do. Many other animes are this harem ecchi crap (doesnt mean i dont watch them) where nothing rly happens. (sry for this off topic post, but i had to shout it out)

now i hope that everyone dies, the whole shogunate, hitei-hime and of course emonzaemon. Considering the fact that shichika is now the completed deviant blade he shouldnt have problems to kill everyone and hopefully himself at the end. even though i am sad and enraged it was a splendid anime which wont be forgotten, I just wont be able to rewatch it i think. We need more animes like this (maybe with a different ending though^^)

if somehow horo,lawrence or shana, yuji die then u should watch the news for a german guy who went on a rampage^^

BUT i only want the ones responsible for her death to die, and what do u mean the whole cast, there arent many left are there? the whole maniwa group is dead, so only emonzaemon and hitei hime are left. as for shichika i would like it if he chose death, but that is just my own preference..... aaaaaand he killed nanami and houou who were next to togame and himself my favorite characters.
and u have to take into account that my words are words written in sadness so be gentle with me^^

thats why i said shichika should kill the shogunate, but are u sure about this, the only time when hitei hime made an appearance was around 19 minutes when she said he (emonzaemon) "should finish his last duty" which is probably to kill houou and togame + shichika to get his hands on all blades i think, but do we know who gave this order?

Not explicitly, but it was hinted at when Togame mentioned that Maniwa were labeled traitors and pursued with intent to destroy by Shogunate. That's why even Emonzaemon went as far as to give her an apology before shooting her. It was not a personal affair.

Well that was indeed an insane plot twist. I totally didn't see the fact that Kiki was created his own future, making this episode all the more awesome. Pengin's death was absolutely horrible to watch, though i was prepared for it so thankfully it wasn't as bad as it could have been. At least we were able to see his technique, which would have seriously developed into something insane in the future.

& yeah horrible cliffhanger. That explains the episode 12 trailer from a while back.

Best part of the episode had to be Okiayu Ryotaro. Fantastic performance.

If shichika would go rampage and kill everyone in the next episode then probably I should ready myself on seeing him killing innocent and past friend or people who they meet in the next episode. Like that little girl who has an insane strength. if I remember it right they send her to carry the sword. I wonder what happens next after that. But if she stays there then she is "dead".
