Why would they release a TV length version and not the full version in the single?

Yes it'll be the full version.

You would be surprised, especially if it's attached to a DVD/Blu-ray. Anyway really looking forward to hearing the full thing.

Fair enough. They usually gimp when it's some sort of OST being released with the DVD.

I have compiled the insert song together without the voiceovers. Can't avoid all the mecha noises, but strangely, it sounds rather charming with the song. Without further ado...

Monochrome Insert Song [MECHA REMIX]

...

Oh, that's right, due to rules, you have to PM me for it.

There's actually no indication that there's a "full" version of Monochrome. The song is written exclusively as an insert song for the show, with the lyrics having a specific meaning for the scenes it is used in. What is used in the show might honestly be the entire length of the song.

Well am curious about how things are going to go from here. Obviously those guys aren't willing to kill Takuto or they would have done it already. It would be a lot easier for them than fighting him in Zero Space. Long as they are at different phases it's going to be tough for them to compete. Plus it seems with their tech they are limited to 1v1 fights right now.

Looking forward to the next episode though.

attacking him outside of zero space is just not fabulous enough

they've got an image to maintain, you know?

there's a proper conduct and dress code for these things

watched episode 3 and it was not bad i rather enjoyed it. Im really starting to like Takuto he has such a broad range and it obvious hes not above getting his hands dirty to make some cash.

The sword fight was rather impressive once again i was drawn in by all the perttty colors. But the fight was done extremely well i was wondering why Takuto looked at the sword earlier like he was confused yet it was obvious he has had sword training. Couldn't have guessed he had two of the special swords and he was duel sword user. In many ways its a lot harder to use two swords rather than one. The fight was way over once he unleashed that cross strike.

Seems our green haired Adult bank leader has found Takuto somewhat interesting cant wait to see how things play out with her.

very enjoyable

Well the director expressed his intent to make a show in the mecha genre as a sort of personal challenge during one of the interviews he conducted for the promotion of Star Driver so I think it's safe to say that's what he's going for with it. The comparisons to Utena people keep making (and I wouldn't know because I've never watched that show ) seem like what's going to make the show more kosher for non-mecha fans though.

Of one thing I think there's no doubt, and that's that Star Driver is trying to target more than just the average lay mecha fan. Kind of goes with the strategy that forerunners in the mecha genre have been attempting in the last several years. Whether it's been working as well as they had intended though is hard to say.

It's a single release, so i'm just going with the usual formula that it'll be longer then what we're hearing in the series.

I can't help but feel that Head is purposely manipulating things so that the Crux is heading a path of self-destruction, or at the very least, detract any attention towards Takuto, and make the focus of it only defeating Taubarn.

Twice now, he distracts the meeting with the bait and lure of 'whoever defeats Taubarn becomes the Leader' which, for all accounts, means that which division's lackey wins would make that division head the de-facto true leader. In the end, the focus of the Crux became to defeat him, ignoring other matters like how he came to be among other things.

And since Head is aware of Takashi's mark, that too means that the defeat of Taubarn is never one of high priority to Head, regardless of what he said.

Agreed, it seems as though the other members regard him as a fool, but he's way ahead of the game it seems.

Head is only interested in stretching on his bed and listening to Fishy's stories about Sam Fisher vs Squid Girl. He's the best villain ever.
