who else felt the compression way too much in the last 3 minutes of the last episode?... when asuna tells kirito about heathcliff and then he is in KOB HQ and then ready for the fight... in LN that part is like 1 chapter and a half.

That made me think the next one the fight will be short, and kuradel vengenace will be even more fast and unimportant somehow.

Hope i am wrong.

In the LN, the chapter feels long because it has many monologue while in the anime most monologues are omitted.

I really hope they don't cut out the fishing adventure. I think it is important that they include Asuna's comments about "the meaning behind the two years of my life spent here" in Chapter 19. They'll change it some since he did add extra stuff, but hopefully they mention it somewhere before the 75th boss fight.

Spoiler for From 19::

My guess is that it goes:

Episode 10 - Crimson Killing Intent
Asuna yelling at Kirito for accepting duel / explaining KoB leader's ability as the intro
1st half - Kirito losing the duel, getting ready to join the guild
2nd half - Poisoning / Saved by Asuna, ends with them confessing to each other (or not having the saving part til episode 11)

Episode 11 The Morning Dew Girl
Asuna/Kirito telling KoB they need a break, him telling her he wants to spend night
1st half - Him / Asuna in her house - proposal - buying a house
2nd half - Meeting Yui, Going to 1st floor, learning about the army / deciding to help find leader

Episode 12 Yui's Heart
1st half - exploration, boss
2nd half - yui's goodbye, going back to their house

Episode 13 The Depths of Hell
Kirito fishing + meeting old man as intro
1st half = Fishing adventure, saying goodbye and Asuna explaining why kirito is so important to old man
2nd half = - learning about the 75th floor boss and getting ready to fight

Episode 14??
Boss + Reveal + end

I hope they dont too. But that other part maybe change because of SS's and Aria.
Also I think people are forgetting the talk they had after he lost. The talk about why Kirito does not join guilds.

I think you should really get out of this thread before it gets worse, and yes it can get worse than Heathcliff's identity

I wasn't planning on sticking around. I only enter this thread to clear it of new posts normally and noticed I was quoted. I only posted to let people know I wasn't actively spoiling people in the episode threads, because I don't feel like getting banned.

I read the major spoilers on Bakatsuki on Novel 15 so does that mean that SAO only last to 15 books?

Lol suddenly I remembered that SS. It was very.... *goes to get author and tries blackmail him for getting that story into canon territory*

Ah, so that's how it is. But it hasn't been totally established yet that there won't be an arc after Alicization.

It just means that Alicization arc will end at Volume 15. Whether there'll be any continual after that arc or not is still uknown at this point

All shall be revealed in time (meaning: I have no clue who or what the observer really is). But for now it feels more like a plot gimmick to introduce an "interesting" POV.

Also if you read the spoilers about the end of the Alicization arc then you will understand that it's basically meant to be the "conclusion" of SAO. Of course, it's always possible that the author changes his mind and picks up the story again. It's not like he hasn't retconned stuff extensively before, and the upcoming rewrite for the light novel version of Alicization also gives a perfect opportunity to do so. Though I'm not sure he can top Alicization in terms of conspiracy theories.

It won't. The author already said so in his twitter account.

Besides the characterization in that doujin doesn't even makes sense in context with all that happened in Alicization (and before) anyway.

I read that and I shattered into tiny little fragments.

If they gonna end it... then at least make a jump of 10 years seeing the two get married and have a child named Yui....

This MUST happen.

But it probably won't, since it kinda goes against the sort of "forget reality, embrace the fantasy" feel the series as a whole has. I think that's why the Web Novel ended in the way it did.

But we'll see.
