Well, I believe Fukuda himself understands control over CE is best, even if there will be eventually more in the future.
After all, he's been through the same thing G.X did, when his Cyber Formula TV series ended up a commercial flop and had to be cut from 50 episodes to 37. Like 0079, it was the post-airing positive reactions that garnered enough warrant for sequels. Or at least that's what ja.wiki said.

And D-Klac, it is doubtful that you will ever get a reasonable response from Bandai in regards to the email you sent. Of all things, you sent it to their N.A. division at http://www.gundamofficial.com/worlds/ce/. It is with very little likelihood that it will ever be forwarded to their Japanese counterpart. - Tak |

Damn right it is. And think of all the cool accessories that followed GSD even after the latter had wrapped in 2005! I am still feeling the after-taste for crying out loud!
Personally, I'd think the best time to air another Gundam would be, at a minimum, every three years. Yes, I do realize Bandai has a tendency to do a Gundam almost every year until recently, so to keep things fresh, I watch some and then I don't watch some. Hell, Macross makes a show every five years, and each time they do it, they kept the franchise fresh. - Tak |

This isn't a very surprising message, nor is it unique to Bandai. Basically, entertainment companies need to protect themselves from charges of plagarism, so this message is just a case of them covering their butts. For a similar reason, established writers try to avoid reading fanfics.

I love her Kyoto accent in the Japanese dub. But her Southern accent in the English dub? BLEH! I want to see a Cagalli fanart portraying her as Shizuru Viola or Shizuru Fujino. |
