Ahh the Lucy/Cana combo is just too much, a super busty blonde beauty and a super busty dark-haired beauty...just too much!
The little bit with Erza and Juvia was great, somehow it managed to strenghen my resolve to see a GrayXHarem ending! And Levy is just too cute, cuter than in the manga at that part, helps that Mariya Ise sounds soooooooooo damn cute! Not sure what the music is when Gajeel plays hero but it's damn awesomesauce!

Erza stole the show this week. That scene was hilarious.
I'm used to Fairy Tail episodes not looking that good, though i'm also used to the team delivering when the action starts, so next weeks episode should be pretty damn good looking.

Oh man the guy that knows Natsu is Zeref! Still don't know how he knows him. Isn't Zeref supposed to be old and umm...dead? So did Mavis defeat Zeref on this island or something, they've been saying something about the island being special for other reasons. How is Natsu going to function with Igneel's scarf burnt. Still don't understand how they can avoid Zeref's magic when everything around them withers like even the floor.
Wonder if Mest works fro Grimoire, since he can sense Zeref and said he should report back. Lol at Erza and Juvia part. Nice cute moments for Levy and Gajeel. So Grimoire made their move. Wonder what Makarov will.

I must admit that this was a very interesting episode with lots of new stuff.
That black haired guy sure is a mystery... but I also feel sad for him. This has to do something with Igneel. The dark guild... can't wait to see next episode!

Not in the anime, she didn't. It was only said that they were seeking to awaken him, and he was only briefly mentioned by the dragons, but the anime never outright stated he wasn't dead. Not like the manga, though. In the manga, Ultear explicitly stated, "Zeref isn't dead." That line was conveniently cut from the anime, because the makers of the anime weren't planning to go that far ahead in the story until it became popular enough to continue, and they kind of inserted the scenes with Ultear and the dragons in the anime at the last minute.

Quote:
The anime was not planned to go past 48 episodes. The Fantasia parade would have been the final scene of the anime; for all we could have known, Ultear would have truly been following Jellal's orders and not pulling his strings, Laxus's Dragon Slayer powers would be implied to have been learned from a dragon, and Mystogan's resemblance of Jellal would have gone totally unexplained. Hell, if the manga explains why the dragons all disappeared on the same day (the same goes for the death of Lucy's mom), then that plot thread would have gone down the tubes too. The only reason the anime is still running is because it's so damn popular. And so the makerss salvaged as many plot points as they could in newly made scenes (Ultear's manipulation of Jellal, and the origins of Laxus's Dragon Slayer magic, etc.); among those that couldn't easily be saved was the initial revelation that Zeref was alive, and all we got for that scenario in the anime were a fleeting mention of him in the dragons' conversation, and Grimoire Heart mentioning their plan having to do with Zeref in their brief appearance at the start of the Nirvana arc.

Thanks for the tip i will read just what i think they will show next week.
As far as the episode. It was highly enjoyable tho the chicken i didn't too much care for. The other bad guy was actually pretty decent with the stuff he had up his sleeve. The flash back was well done. This anime is very consistently good with the timing of when to show them. The Gajeel/Levy connection continues to grow. I love it. Oh and cliffhanger with the no.1 cat around wasn't bad either. Next week looks pretty epic but i think im going to read some of it first it at least.
