Original anime project Ayaka: A Story of Bonds and Wounds is greenlited as a collaboration between King Records and GoRA. Animation production is leaded by Studio Blanc. with Nobuyoshi Nagayama as the director and redjuice as the concept character designer.

The first episode was pretty solid. Probably a pick-up for me. At least the MC is not a complete idiot.

Gotta say, Jingi seems completely unsuitable as a teacher, however it's probably a case of "let the two learn from each other" which the other practitioners are trying to pull here. Still, not the ideal situation for the complete notice MC to have a teacher who seems so singularly unsuited to teaching.

Wow, this series has really zero other fans here.

I can understand why, the pace is pretty glacial, the characters are meh and the magic is not as fun as in, for example, Tokyo Ravens. Well, I'll be sticking with it for another one or two episodes, in the (probably vain) hope that something interesting still may happen.

Well, this series seems to be designed to be Eye-Candy type for those who like Pretty-Boy characters.
So, obviously the viewership would be lower.
I gave-up on it after just one episode.

Yeah, I can see that it might be for the reasons you cited. Ah, well. Again, two more episodes.

Did some catching up on this... so Yukito is the water dragon?
I guess I can tell what type of drama they are trying to cook up here. Aka is so going to throw a tantrum when he finds out.
