Here's the trailer for a very unique and interesting movie to say the least.A lot of imagination in this one.

Plot:
A young girl is institutionalized by her wicked stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the facility.

Anyway I took another look at the trailer and I see a lot of influence from anime in this movie.Especially since the director is Zack Snyder co-working with Steve Shibuya.
I can't wait for it to come out!!

I like how IGN put it in their 'Rewind Theater', it's on the front page of IGN if you don't want to click the link. I agree with them about the 'geek imagery' and putting all these ideas in a blender.

I don't see a lot of anime influence personally...just a lot of genres smashed together. Only thing that really reminds me of anime is that giant samurai killing machine. It's only a teaser but I can't wait either.

You know I think that could be a huge understatment there and thats only just going by what a one little teaser trailer looks like

March next year is gonna be pretty damn interesting.

The movie looks really interesting. I kinda wanna see it now. To bad it comes out in 2011. I don't like waiting.

the movie seems all over the place, and too heavy on the CGI. Not that I don't like CGI effects (it saved Avatar) but at least from the preview it seems like they were going for serious but then changed directors and decided to switch to fantasy with lots of renders, and ended up in the over-kill zone.
The movie I'm waiting for is the next Pirates of the Caribbean. I know that the last few movies left much to be desired, and from the teaser the next doesn't seem to promise much more...but I'm still a fan

I saw a trailer for Thor, and honestly even though Im a fan of the comics the the trailer was unfortunately disappointing. So for my impression of the movie is meh...

Anyways...

A girl in a schoolgirl outfit with a samurai sword fighting a Giant samurai with a mini gun...? One thumb up!

Another girl in a WW2 bomber plane fighting against a giant fire-breathing dragon?
Another thumb up!

So far thats 2-thumbs up for my interest in this movie!

This movie feels like it's going to be a bunch of genres mashed into one: the serious, eerie mental institution part, the provocative and angsty brothel part and the high-octane action-fantasy part with Nazis and dragons

. Just for that last one, I'm game!

My guess is the plot won't matter because you'll have scantily clad girls fighting in high heels, nudity, special effects, and action. "Yeah, I'm watching it for the plot!" sounds much like "Yeah, I read Playboy for the articles!"

Still, if the action is decent, might be worth a watch.

Thor will BOMB, ya heard it here first...Suckerpunch will bomb too, but it's probably gonna be a great genre pic...

Kinda agree. Thor and Sucker Punch will both have bad stories. Except, Sucker Punch will have better action scenes, so it'll at least have some redeeming feature and allow you to sit through it.

^Not so much "better" action, but more stylized, expressive genre action that's gonna be different...I mean the preview looks like something that if it were in animated (anime) form you'd go bat$hit waiting for the release date...
