All the snow we got over the weekend has frozen and is starting to become ice. My dad's office window in our house looks right out over the street, and he saw cars skidding all day when they hit a patch of ice.

Virtually all major streets have been de-iced.

Though some side streets, especially those in gated communities, might have patches of ice still...

Hey, that's cooler than it was for me around this time last year.

But this year it's actually going to be cold and winterlike! Or so they say... It's like 60 degrees Fahrenheit right now and we've had some severe thunderstorms with that weird random loud thunder.

But we're also under a Winter Storm Watch. XD 4 to 8 inches of snow is predicted for tomorrow. Which means if it happens we will have a Christmas with snow on the ground and possible flurries. ^_^

Snow on Christmas Eve? I thought that only happened in the cheesy Christmas movies...

It's snowed and now it's gonna snow more on the weekend and the weathers already chilly and really windy, not looking forward to temperatures below 20.

Had a small amount of snow before christmas here in the UK but we're back to the usual rain and fog. I miss the white christmases from when I lived in mainland europe.

Didn't see this one coming (Weather men were totally off this time). Rain and a few flurries before I went too sleep (Snow north and west). I wake up New Years eve, look outside, 2 or 3 inches of snow and the side streets are covered. Who would of guess going out the day before worked in my favor.

Yep, it snowed during the night and now we have a white New Year's Eve here. The falling is slower so we probably won't get much more today, but it was a nice surprise.

I finally got the snow and White Christmas I wanted so bad... In fact I got a blizzard. lol

Never ever been in a blizzard... And then it snowed again... and there's more in the forecast. o_O Like three chances in the forecast actually... Though I can't see them being any more than a little light snow and flurries, it's truly incredible that it's actually staying cold. The snow from the Christmas Eve blizzard is still on the ground... still a little on the roads even. o_O

It snowed but not that much. A snow filled New Year with a light rain shower.

According to the weather channel we're supposed to have snow showers off and on tomorrow. Going to have to wait and see what happens.

It snowed here today and now the weather is freezing cold with strong winds. The streets are empty and the snow looks like powder.

So while Northern England and parts of Scotland are totally shut down (as in airports, trains and almost all schools closed), here's a collection of photos to share for the lovely winter half of the world is having
