What or who is "GAR", and what is the significance of those abhorrent pointed shades people are photoshopping onto cats?

GAR is the male's version moe AFAIK. Its an internet meme to represent character that display manliness attitude so strongly.

Those point shades (Orange in color?), if I dont mistaken it for something else, is a tribute to Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan, the last famous GAR char that I knew off.. There's probably newer char that attain that status.. but that shades is a defining thing of Kamina that can easily shopped to other character.

Not really possible. Once the water breaks its gotta happen soon.

I'm not sure that this really belongs in a Clannad Q&A so I'm going to move it to a more appropriate place. If I'm wrong, then I suspect I will be corrected by someone who played the game and it can return to its former location.

A term used towards male characters and individuals who are so overwhelmingly manly that your own masculinity is absolutely *buried*, leaving you naught but a whimpering, swooning girl-child before them.

Originated in 4chan's /a/ board. A poster was describing his feelings towards the Fate/Stay Night character Archer, and mistyped "gay" as "gar".

You don't need permission to create a valid anime discussion thread, the fact that is may be licensed doesn't matter. If it's unlisted on AnimeSuki then I would suggest that it should be first placed in the Unaired sub-forum.

As for other Suiyuki threads, from the Series Discussion Index

Saiyuki Gensou Maden Saiyuki, Reload, Reload Gunlock

And as you say, it looks like it is unlicensed (haven't checked much).

Sorry for being confusing my initial problem at hand was create a new thread or continue in the old one: Saiyuki Reload .

Its Unlisted on AS so I will proceed to make an thread in Unaired Section

Thanx for clearing up the confusion ^^

Now I've heard about how Photobucket increases the size of images when you upload, causing some issues with the sig limit, however I've noticed that when I upload a PNG image, the file size actually gets smaller.

This is my current sig, hosted on Imagehost.org. 35KB.

This is the same image, hosted on Photobucket. 29KB.

Is it just me or does anyone else experience the same thing?

I don't quite get your question. The image is saved as PNG-24.

Hum... I should test that out myself. This could help me get better sigs ^^

I think Riker is just saving them interlaced, photobucket removes that.

I've just checked, it wasn't interlaced. Saving it interlaced results in a 38KB image instead. I know! Maybe Photobucket somehow magically transfers the missing bytes from PNG files to make other images larger?

Hmmm maybe not. D:

You must be adding some metadata or something. If I open and try to resave both of those images result in 29kb. In other words its some sort of issue at your end.

Are you perhaps saving it with a 16 or 32 bit channel?

Hmm, I guess it must be my antique Photoshop auto adding stuffs.

As you can see, I don't have an awful lot of options.

Take it to photoshop, go to Image / Mode, set it to a 8bit channel, now save for web should give you 29kb.
