Well, those rumors are rather...weird ones...Why?
1) They are always supported only by hardcore Siesta fans and Louise-haters, which in itself makes the rumors...less Reliable... 2) The rumors based on some mythical interview with Noboru (the author of ZnT novels) where he has stated that he is wishing that anime would take a different turn from novels (that are definite - LouisexSaito) and do something different with the ending, like Saito x Siesta. 3) The mystical interview was read only by Siesta fan's. 4) The mystical interview is nowhere to be found on official site from where it came, despite the fact that official site had ALL of interviews saved in the archives. 5) The opening of the new season gives us no chance to see Siesta as someone special. She rather looks to be placed in the lines of secondary characters. The opening seems to support Louise x Saito a lot, just like it did in last season. So I think you should not take those rumors too seriously. For now it looks more like lame some Siesta fanboys wishful thinking rather than reality. |

Yeah, I'm with you on this. I've heard those rumors before, and I remember that they were discussed some time ago. The opening is very clear, in the sense that it includes a particular scene indicating that they would follow the novels at least as a guideline... therefore SaitoxLouise is the most probable couple for the anime as well. Furthermore, I'd say that in the anime version SaitoxHenrietta is more probable than SaitoxSiesta at this point, since Henrietta has more screen-time both in the opening and ending.

OMG, the physics are impossible! I can't get over what they did with the A6M.
First off, in the first season the plane had its wing broken off. How did they repair it. But that is a rant from the past, now I have another. Second is, where did they get the wing rockets? But this is believable. But, the second huge WTF was when the A6M smashed into the outer wall. When Mitsubishi A6M was developed as an agile fighter, it had no armor. A few bullets could ignite it. Plus the wing fuel tanks did not have sealers so one bullet could ignite it. A6Ms were reported to turn into a burning mass when hitting trees and bushes. And you expect me to believe that is could fly into a brick wall and keep going pretty much unscathed? Third was the landing, if they show that plane again flying, I am going to scream. When you land in the water, the props will be bent due to the force. They would have been bent against the engine cowling, rendering it unflyable. Also after a few moments it would have sunk. It would not have floated and actually cruised. As soon as it hit the water the nose would have went strait under. The cockpit would slowly start filling and in a few minutes it would have sunk. Anyways, the episode was good. My entire rant was on the physics of the plane, lol. |

As I expected, the story shifts to volume 4 of the novel (aka. the volume that gave Henrietta the reason to start a war with Albion).
ってか展開が早ええ One whole volume in one episode...? That's just... wrong somehow. BUT, for what it's worth, they did a good job with portraying the general idea of the volume. Since the love potion thing and the Tabatha/water spirits event (both originally from vol.4 as well) were already done in season 1, I didn't expect the volume to take too long to work through. But still, I was hoping for at least 2 episodes. Spoiler:
Now, general episode comments (from novel reader's view) Spoiler:
Next episode looks like yet another original plot. Julius makes his first appearance with his dragon Astro, and has a sword match with Saito? At this point, I don't see the point in the early introduction (as opposed to Saito and Louise meeting him in the midst of the war in the novel). But we'll see... I finally watched the episode!!!! About the plane thing, it really didn't matter at all to me. I've seen things much, much worse in terms of physics laws in other popular series (ever-flying bodies in Naruto for example ).
It was a good episode, much more in to the story than the first one, I'd like to hear from Louise the response that she gave in the novels to Henrietta (she said something like she wouldn't allow anyone to harm Saito as well), but I guess the perfect world doesn't exist. Ahh, and also... Spoiler:
The next episode is, as Sushi-Y already stated, an original plot. It's obvious to me that Julius will play a role a little more confrontational with Saito than in the novels, but that's OK as long as they don't lose the focus. |
