Though it is not a remake, it is only a small fragment, as the total running time of part I is arround 30 minutes..

I was unable to find reference to the orchestra/director of this particular version in the episode credits, but a decent recording of the symphony should be quite easy to find, as it is reasonably known. I'd probably go with a 2 cd set, as i think the speedup required to fit the whole thing in one cd might create a rushed feeling, but that's just personal taste.

You could also check the music/ost forum to see if anyone knows if one of the ost includes this pieces..

Great ep. They finished it off with the midas touch... Though i would have liked to see more...

I was disappointed, it was unclear. It sorta reminds me of what gianax always do. It ended but there wasn't a conclusion, but maybe the few detail that have been forgotten. "this that and at last that" eh?

Considering that this episode followed the ending of the first novel (of eight and counting) there wasn't a need for a definitive series end (especially since this is episode 6 in the timeline order, with episode 9 as the real last episode). Besides, we can't get a second season if there was a real and proper conclusion now could we?

Not likely, it's just Yuki's way of doing things. She's not the sort to be direct. Just look at the bookmark incident. She could've just told Kyon to come to her place, but instead stuffs Kyon a book with her bookmark in it.

that is just soo sweet of her...just like when a women hints at her man that she "wants" something (like jewlery) she wont say it directly but instead gives clues to the guy...but it usually screws up

i would have understood that yuki isnt a direct person but why didnt mikuru just tell kyon to kiss haruhi?

i think that Mikuru already knew that Kyon would never want to kiss Haruhi

To tell someone in the past about events in the future isn't allowed, the most Asahina-san can do is to give hints.
