It's only a spoiler character if you haven't seen the interlude at the end of movie 4.

Man, late to the party as usual. But hey, I enjoyed the ride! The 5th movie is definitely the best so far, at least for me.

As usual the non-linear mode of storytelling confused the hell out of me at first, but it also makes the plot more engaging and immersive, prompting the viewer to follow the events even more closely. Nasu's particular brand of the occult comes off nicely too, especially during displays of magic and whatnot from time to time.

And it lasted for two, freaking hours—two hours of solid entertainment and WTH-just-happened—which honestly felt like three or so for me. I was actually thinking to myself, "They'll probably have to put up a cliffhanger at this point... am I right?" Of course, no such thing, and I was glad for that.

Just wondering...

Spoiler:

Actually, I also have a question for the novel readers. Is ufotable planning to simply follow the original material, or are they planning to add an extra chapter? I might have misread something, so I'm not sure if I got this right, but if I'm not mistaken there's actually some unreleased material from the author that will make it into the KnK movies?

If you go by the website, there are only 7 titles up.

It's ok. I think I got it clarified for myself already.

From Moonlit World, I noticed that the title of the epilogue is "Kara no Kyoukai". But some time ago (C74), an extra story apparently takes place after this epilogue, entitled "Mirai Fukuin".

I guess that's where I started to get confused and mixed up some of the facts around.

Since I've already read the Kara no Kyokai novels, I expected nothing much of a surprise for Mujun Rasen/Paradox Paradigm. And I was more of wondering how they were gonna fit a story of a few hundred pages into a movie.

And they did, with a bang. This is the first time I've saw an anime movie lasting for almost 2 hours, and even longer than some live action movies.

I guess if you've read the novel, you won't be confused by the movie. But in the end, the movie joins all the confusing parts together, making it very a super cool movie after all.

In my opinion, this movie is one of the best for 2008 (or even the best movie of 2008), since the movie was released in theatres in 2008 anyway.

For a story that impresses me both in the novel and the movie, I give this 9.5/10. ;D

Anyway, this picture of Tomoe with Shiki looks cute:

In the novel, this part is written from Tomoe's point of view.

So it's highly probably that he was naturally remembering it.

Yeah he just realizes this himself, but its not shown like in the book, where it is solely his point of view. Just showing the events as they (probably) played out, instead of having it shown from Tomoe's view from behind a slightly opened doorway, or under his bedsheets listening to his parents converse, is probably more entertaining and dramatic (well it tugged at my heart strings anyway ).

it is the other way around, Emyia is like Tomoe as KNK predate FSN.

She was in the 3rd movie, she is Mikyia's sister.

are you sure?

According to Aozaki there is no difference between the original and puppet.

Yeah, it's left intentionally up in the air who the original was. I kind of cringed during that part.. (Sock Puppet.. ) We should be seeing the sister in the next movie.

As much as some people ragged in the change in art style, I think the fluid action more than compensated for it.
