Looking at the designs, premise, and ridiculous title, this might actually work better as a parody

When I first read the synopsis my mind immediately screamed ZnT too . But as long as there's no B*tch-Louise and Idiot-Saito on the equation I think I can survive the first few episodes...

I'm more inclined to believe that Tsuzuki merely have Nanoha staff on speed-dial, but hey, this kind of theory makes for good crossover stories

More updates according to Moonphase diary :
Ending theme should be performed by Yui Horie, Amelia gets voiced by Asami Seto and more...
It will premiere on many channels such as Tokyo MX, MBS, Chiba TV, TV Kanagawa, TV Saitama and BS11.

I sincerely hope this is more Nanoha than ZnT. If you're going to go with a Mahou Shounen premise, the key is not to sell out - you have to commit 100% to the premise.

Seto Asami? She's the person voicing Yoshino in Hourou Musuko! Is she gaining popularity already?

While I under stand why commitment is necessary for a plot based on the premise of a Mahou Shounen, there is still the transformation to worry about. Case in point from Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka:

Even he is got that taken-a-back look on his face at the end of it and he is the Mahou Shounen. No wonder Mahou Shounen based shows are rare event in anime. The animators can think about a plot when, and only when the viewers are ready to move forward after enduring such a demanding transformation process that preys on the mind so much.

Well yes, there is that... But Nanoha sort of took a middle route with Erio and gave him a discreet, pared-down version of a transformation sequence with modesty shorts. Once everyone had seen it, it was out of their systems and they could get on with the story...

Oddly, I never saw the problem with that. While a good deal of watchers were proclaiming "MY EEEEYES, CANNOT UNSEE!!", I found the male masou shoujo thing to be funny and campy. Maybe I'm unusually impartial about fanservice, but I can't see how people get so insecure and immature about a (not unattractive at all) guy getting a transformation sequence.

Me too. Mostly because I love Nanoha, but partially because ZnT annoyed the crap out of me.

@monir, you're not perhaps collecting these things? That's a very comprehensive gallery you have there. Just saying…

I'll take that to mean they failed on the title.

Still,

+1 for Nanoha series (probably gonna be Nanoha-esky given the Raging Heart staff)

i dont think comparison with Kore Wa Zombie is appropriate with this anime. they are more to parody.

either way talking about transformation. even if they have transformation. definitely not as bizarre as kore wa zombie. probably something like super sentai or kamen rider

Cookie country!?

Well, the staff and cast is enough reason for me to at least check it out.

Is it just me, or does the lead look like the Princes from Etrian Odyssey 3? Even has the staff, sort of.

After watching Madoka Magica, I started to become suspicious of all mahou shoujo animes... ):

This looks more like a fantasy adventure type anime than a magical girl one.

So you should be fine with this one, as it's a mahou shounen!

No gurantee that this show would not be grimdark.

"No guarantee" I admit, but this definitely looks to...fluffy...to go too dark. I'm not even getting a real Nanoha vibe off the current artwork. Still, I'll definitely give it a shot.
