What's the difference between the white and bla- dark side in the first place?

Heck some Noahs like Skin and Jasdebi didn't even show their 'white' side at all. And Road is still the same either way, Lulubell only use her 'white' side for disguise... But then again, she could literally look like anything she wants.

The only person who truely made an effort to separate those two sides (worlds) is Tykki.

Pretty grim if it's true in entirety. Possible emo Allen.

I had pointed out ages ago how the memories, both human and Noah of the 14th, would affect Allen, the possible angst didn't occur to me then. >_>

Well at least the reason for the 14th's betrayal would be made apparent someday. And more power-ups for Allen in the future.

Could it be any kind of measurement to hint at if the 14ths' memories are taking over Allen's personality by paying attention when Allen stops to use or not his polite speech?

I think that WON'T happen and 14th doesn't like the Earl and the rest of the Noah and Earl will love to kill him again, but he is going to be very upset about this. With 14th and Innocence work together, he is going to give the Earl something that wont put a smile on his face.

Cross mentions the memory of 14th is slowly going to erode the memory of its host. So basically Allen will lose his and 14th will be taking over Allen's body.

Conclusion: Allen's body without his mind + 14th's mind

geez talking about cruelty - now we don't know wether allen will stay as allen anymore - then I'm really interested on what he will do after this though somehow I get the feeling that he will run away from the order before the 14th takeover him

He won't be the only one, if that Noah Chapter was any indication, Road was upset about it as well.

I really liked the scene between Cross and Allen, surprisingly.

Also, Cross' words were pretty touching. Which re-affirms the possibility that Cross has gone through the pain of sacrifice before.

Funnily(

), it was Tiedoll's words which hinted at this way before.

"He's the worst kind of man in existance but no one else wants to destroy Akuma like he does."

Other than that, this just opens up the chance for a variety of possibilities for Lenalee in the future.

I have never appreciated how great the story of D.Gray-Man was written until this chapter-- I am loving it! =p

And it is great to see how Linalee is mega hawts again. =p

OMFG!!

After a non-stoppable rush since Edo and "let's calm down this party" ark we have this revelation (?). Revelation that comes with new doubts: Allen, as the 14th's memories take over him, will lose his own self becoming the Noah.

But... where is the innocence in this story?

PS.: The characters are much more beautiful in this chapter IMO *. *
I wonder if CLAMP's Suffering Theory has become an axiom.

Chapter 167 Ange (Angel) This is based on my crappy Japanese: - Continuing from the last chapter, Allen was still stunned at the revelation. Cross slapped him out of it. - Allen asked Cross when was the 14th's memories implanted into him, and Cross's answer (guess?) was "probably before the 14th died". Apparently even Cross did not know the details, and Allen was not amused. - The 14th wanted to kill the Earl, and as a result, he and Mana fled from the Noahs. The 14th and the Noahs tried to kill each other. - For the 14th, "when" and "who" did not matter, Allen (who happened to be nearby) was chosen to be the vessel by pure chance. - Cross broke the bad news: The 14th's memories would gradually invade the host, and Allen would eventually turned into the 14th. - Allen wondered... did Mana really love him? Or was 14th the one Mana loved? - According to Cross, Mana began acting strange since the day the 14th died. Cross could not tell if Mana had lost some of his memories or not. - Cross gave Allen a hug ;_; (while complaining that from now on he could not make fun of Tiedoll for mother-henning his students) - Cross dropped the bomb: "So what would you do if I tell you, that when you become the 14th, you will have to kill your important person/people?" - Linali and Johnny fell asleep while waiting for Allen. Linali woke up and saw Allen's swollen face, but Allen told her he was okay with a forced smile. Linali noticed his dark expression, but Allen said, "It was nothing." <- Allen was using the polite form of speech with Linali...
