I'm sry. I viewed that as a happy ending even though Sara ended up killing a lot of pilots, the proffessor, went psycho. At least in the end Shin went up to space with her and hopefully met up. Well after the last kick I died, and revived as a Ranka lover.

I agree 100%. When the other eps were mostly Ranka centered I stopped watching it and only now started watching again because I read somewhere it was about Sheryl. Call me shallow I don't care... I don't care about Ranka or anything about her and it doesn't disturb me from the main story and I don't take part in ship wars either so I don't think I'm commiting a crime. ;o

Sheryl has definitely been the most interesting character for me in this show. I've not paid much attention to episode 12+ unless Sheryl was involved, and a friend of mine feels the same way.

I watched 1-10 religiously, however the episodes after that... Not even twice.

I'm no Ranka shipper, but come on. Sheryl IS fascinating... but Miss Genki, Ranka has glowing alien stones in her womb...

you can't say that THAT isn't interesting too!

I'm digging both these girls equally for totally different reasons and could EASILY understand the look on Alto's face when the both of them did the 'What 'bout my star' duet of jealousy in the hospital mezzanine. Truly one of the great scenes in all of animedom...

Oh I'm pretty certain Ranka will surprise us in upcoming episodes. They are just focusing on Sheryl at this time. Which is good since it takes three people to make a triangle and they focused on Ranka pretty hard in earlier episodes. Next will be Alto. Each will take their place in the forefront of the storyline.

Same here, I didn't even bother to check up on watching ep 17 until just before ep 18 came out.

I'm a bit interested after 18 due to upcoming Sheryl development.
