Told you she was just shy, she's starting to open up to Mikado now.

The episode was mostly about Mikado as expected, and it was slower than I thought it would be. Not saying it's a bad thing though. And nice way to end the episode...

YEAH!!!!!! AWESOME EPISODE, TOTALLY NOT WHAT I EXPECTED BUT IT IS EXACTLY THE EPISODE I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!

Spoiler for complete spoilers for 10:

• This episode had me laughing out loud from beginning to the end. First, the ridiculous matrix sounding of the "Please help me", then Kida's dumb cold jokes and Mikado's stupid fantasy leading to Anri's "I'm not a stalker" was totally awesome; added on top of that's Izaya's LOL-WTF-IS-WRONG-WITH-YOU jumping on that thug and imitation of the motorbike sound, with Celty's freaking awful lie about her daughter, and Togusa's freaking personality change makes this the most HILARIOUS episode for me thus far.
• From the preview of the last episode I expected mostly fillers, as that DOLLARS member from school doesn't seem to play a major role at all, though his mention of Blue Square brings some interesting contemplation on Kida's face.
• Kida totally stole the show in the first half, but in the end Mikado's "awakening" is totally worth it. Holy crap at sparks typing (I really hope people don't say Mikado has supernatural power because of this) and his face when he saw Celty's (lack of) head is totally awesome. The BGM during that scene is also fun too, and more Baccano pw fun.
• The random Index manga cover and Biri^2 reference also make this episode more fun too.
• Also worth noting that Izaya pretty much said the events being related to Yagiri Pharmaceutical (what happened to not selling out your client's identity?)

I really have to say Mamoru Miyano did an awesome, AWESOME job for being Kida; also props to Makoto Yoshimori just for that BGM during that last part. My prediction on 11-12 episode ending the first arc seems to be pretty close now =P.

Very much looking forward to next episode. I gave last episode a 6, but this one is definitely a 10 from me.

My reaction to Mikado encountering the two yankees in front of his school: "hmm, getting in trouble because of Izaya who won't be able to save him this time around... I wonder how he'll get out of this pinch on his own~"
Half a minute later: Izaya trampoline.
Nevermind, I should have known...

Pretty much what I expected from this episode. The first half was admittedly fairly slow but the second part was much more fun (ah, the irony of the usual chatroom being recreated in that tunnel!). About time we learned that there's more to Mikado's character than meets the eye... that's a Narita Ryohgo series for you. His true character showing is definitely a blast to see.

Not much to say here since I still have to wait for subtitles to clear something up. All I can say is... great episode. Perfect 10 is what it deserves!

I don't even need to say this, but damn, the series just keep getting better and better, and that is definitely raking when I already gave the series serious love <33333 At this rate, my mind is going to say "this is my favourite episode" at all episodes~~!

-Seriously, I always, always have a crazy fangirling time at any motorbike scene. HOMG I LOVE, LOVE CELTY'S MOTORBIKE CHASE SCENE. *q*
-Oh Kida. Oh Kida. You and your lame joke about the situation. <3333 And I was sure the moment that Mikado just went :| and just comment on how lame it is makes me falls over laughing

In another note, really loving Miyano in here. AHAHAHAHA THAT RAPID TALK IS JUST PERFECT 8D
-"I hate normalness". And I was sold to the idea of Mikado isn't such a simple character by that alone. 8DDDb
-LMAO YOU KIDA IS JUST A PURE LOVE. Blabbermouth is just one, but I think my reaction was pretty much a silence after he said that "It was only a feeling" when he talked about the Dollars member. With srsbsnss tone. AHA.
-And here I thought Dollars member would be a bit scarier, but turns out whoever the name he is pretty much is a normal guy And hmm, Blue Sphere? Another colour gang I see.

... Deep in my heart I really thought the guy was an impostor but paint me surprised that it was the opposite since he seems to be a genuine Dollars member.

-... Triple surprise. Wait surprise don't cut it. I'm honestly on OH GOD moment in the end of the episode. Mikado is a DOLLAR member?! Now that is surprising.

... That last scene was pure badassery by the way. The cowardice Mikado back then? Who cares, the badass Mikado with awesome computer ability just killed me on spot. *A* Oh the cliffhanger of what he has done!

I SERIOUSLY LAUGHED A LOT IN THIS EPISODE. Ahhh, that was definitely a good way to start the day <3

Really, I'm a secretly a Mikado fan (Okay, not counting that nearly everyone in the series is my favourite characters ) and knowing my sikritly hoping heart that Mikado is not just what he appears to be is just pure awesomeness in its own. You gotta wonder if the guy is really normal at this point--when Celty shows him her headless state, his eyes just... Literally sparkles. Actually he is still normal in term that he doesn't want to face violence and would rather avoid it, but his inquiring mind sure makes him awesome.

... Mikado and Celty and Izaya in the same scene makes me... <3 for some reason. C-cute uke-tachi prowess? -SHOT- Makes me wonder of what will happen if we throw Shizu-chan in lmao

Celty also got seriously cute in this episode and of course, Izaya is just a walking meme that just can't be ignored. Oh and nearly forgot about how Kida and Anri also have some cute moments with Mikado today :3

But still, you gotta admit that each characters got their own charm that just make everything spun in extremely pleasing way. The dialogues might be your average, but the exchanges is making people smile~

On another note, how much time has passed since episode 1 anyway? :<

and this makes me really wonder which of the two series is better: baccano or durarara!! it's making my head spin... *sigh* (honestly, both series are the best and i just can't seem to choose...)

I got a question.

Does this episode have the same BGM as episode 5? When Kida was with the Yellow flag gang and the slasher attacked Celty. It was also in the trailer.

Really good episode. Didn't get better until the end when Mikado reveals himself as a member of Dollars and to help find Selty (the Severed-head version).

Great episode this week. Slow first half, though the second really delivered, and seeing Mikado's awakening at the end there could be the best scene so far in this series.

Smiling Anri, more moe Celty and Izaya jumping. What an awesome episode. Oh, and can't forget pissed off Togusa.

Lots of great moments in this ep, but my favourite scene of the ep is the one with Anri, where Mikado thought she was a stalker and started imagining all kinds of possible scenario in his puppet theater

If you didn't mention it, I won't have never notice it.
Although the first half was a little slow, there was some good comedy which had me laughing (e.g. the pebble denting the otaku van ) Then comes the second half! Can't wait to see what's Mikado capable of doing.

I guess we will see what happened to the other 4 dollars since they chased the two guys but by the time Mikado got home they seem to have lost them. And they certainly don't seem the kind to lose a chase given what we've seen.
