Sadly I would go for Ranka here. I agree with Tak though. Although I don't like Ayumi that much she would fit the picture much better.

Well of course. Music in Macross usually mirrors the state of Japanese pop music in some way. Minmei was a distillation of every pop idol of the period, and Sheryl and Ranka reflect the two sides of J-Pop today. At least, that's how it's supposed to work based on SDFM.

Ranka's really cute, but too pale. Sheryl has something that the cosplayer doesn't have, I'm not sure what, besides boobs.

Actually I prefer this cosplay of Sheryl over the previous one, especially the second, lower photo. It's not that great but it gives an interesting feel.

Bobby is amazing though. Never thought someone would go that far

The second Sheryl one is better than the first cosplay (even if there's some wanting in the chest area), particularly the second pic. Ranka is just plain wrong.
