Watching the Raiders-Cardinals game, it's actually been an exciting start here, and the Raiders finally scored their first points…

Just finish watching the Jaguars and Saints game. It was really game, despite crazy penalty left and right.

Cards have been taking a lot of penalties themselves, while the Raiders have playing squeaky clean. Hell, the Raiders have been getting a ton of help from the refs in this game…

Blaine Gabbert looked good. That would be awesome if he proved all of his critics, including me, wrong.

I think this has been happening since practically forever.

College football preseason polls and their effects on what teams get to eventually play in a BCS bowl/National Championship, are the #1 problem with the college football system. It's a far easier path to the big money the higher up you are in the polls at the start of the season. It's too bad every team doesn't actually start at a level playing field to start the season.

Penn State news has basically wiped what should have been the story of college football from everyone's minds. So, how does the new playoff system work once it's implemented? And do preseason polls still have a stupidly high influence on who gets to make the playoffs? Lastly, is Notre Dame still a mind boggling unique snowflake that gets special treatment in this new playoff system?

It feels like years since they've been updated, btw.
Also, cake.

Hilariously enough, I've got predicted to do exactly that, though he starts off horribly and gets benched early in the season, only coming back in after the Amberlamps claims Chad Henne for itself. I've got one of Gabbert's wins coming off the Patriots late in the season.

Also, silly Texans, thinking that they can run against the Niners D…

Andrew Luck looked pretty good against the Steelers D. He threw two interceptions, one of which was completely his fault and just a bad throw, and the other a ball that a receiver should have caught, but bobbled it and it went into a defender's hands.

I wonder if he'll have a better rookie season than Cam Newton. Too bad he isn't on the 49ers.

Wow, that last field goal by the Steelers. Blocked but not enough, just added some top spin to it.

He could definitely pass for more TDs and be a more efficient passer.

Well I saw the Raiders and Lions preseason game.
Lions lost and the lost some Starters and their QB was also injured in the game.
Raiders lost their FG kicker but from the look of things their Rookie kicker may be signed in case Seabass is out long term.
Anyway your guys thoughts on this game?

I know it's preseason and all, but man, if any of the Bills starters get injured and these guys have to actually play, it will not be pretty.

They both started out slow but picked up their stride by the middle of the first quarter. If you stop where RGIII and Luck stopped playing (half time), Washington only won by 1 TD. If you keep going to where you had Grossman vs second stringers, that's when the score gets lopsided.

Yay, add another to the list of players they've acquired that are either past their prime or were never really good to begin with but are known names and will make people talk. This is how they get people to buy tickets without spending a lot of money or effort and sadly it works.

Tavaris was never destined to be a franchise QB, but he is an adequate back-up that can win some games is needed. That's why the Bills brought him in.
