The Saki's manga is finally fully translated and this scene... This scene... THIS SCENE!!!... THIS FUCKING SCENE IS A STRAIGHT THORN to my Saki-loving heart... T_T
Is it really necessary for there to be that stupid love triangle drama? Why can't Okouchi just give Saki her happiness? I stress this time over time, is it really that hard to change some lines and make Haruto say "I love you" to her and accept her feeling? No characters in the show suffered the same amount as her yet why can't you just give her a happy ending?! She hold on to her feeling over two century for a boy who doesn't love her... What the point of keep torturing her like that? T_T My biggest regret will be that I'm not born rich to invested in a remake for a happier ending for Saki...

that final chapter made saki my favorite character this series, for her to kiss haruto and ask him to propose to her after the battle even though she knew he probably wouldn't survive after it (both scenes that i believe weren't in the) takes some true guts, and i also feel sorry for her to see l-elf carrying haruto's body must of seriously hurt her and i doubt that panel with akira truly conveyed the sadness she was feeling, and you can't say she didn't truly love haruto to still be able love him after 200 years

Seriously, if the anime included those scenes (her torture/reaction to it, more of A'Drei's Hidden Depths, and of course, all those scenes with her and Haruto), I feel that it would have been vastly improved. It also shows that she merely views A'Drei as a friend, while her connection to Haruto is much stronger (take that shippers of her and the former )
For that matter, unlike Shouko, she never broke down when the odds were overwhelmingly against her, nor did she take it out on her friends. She could have very well lashed out at her fellow pilots and the like for leaving her to be tortured by Dorssia, but she didn't. She remained strong-willed, and stayed behind Haruto and her friends the entire time. Heck, it even implied that Haruto was indeed going to propose to her again had he not died. She truly is a one-of-the-kind heroine (helped by her design and the glorious voice of Haruka Tomatsu). If only Sunrise and Okouchi realized how great of a character they had created, and gave her more screentime and oppotunities for happiness, instead of forcing Shouko's relationship with Haruto down out throats at the cost of someone who arguably loved the latter more. |

Belated happy birthday to Saki
It's sad the she didn't get a true happy ending but it's also heartwarming to see just how she truly she did love him. Saki was the best girl of this series and an amazing Sunrise heroine.

Saki forgave him and let him go. She stopped pursuing, but she also never stopped yearning. in another show she would be rewarded for forgiving and not shackling him, but valvrave is not that kind of genre Haruto, because of his complex, took that negatively and turned himself into a guinea pig. And he got progressively negative about his condition. I think I said it before that for something to happen they need to rewind months before S2 and make an effort By S2 things were already in motion and too late If you want an alternative to Haruto, I suggest you guys to read up on Tokyo Ghoul. This guy's development is really what Haruto should have been. Anyway don't worry Saki. As the drama cd shows, she's going to enjoy her life despite all of that Haruto is a memory, but he is not an anchor Manga is the is its own romanticized interpretation anyway. Don't read too much into it

Bah...if they're the type of viewers that are turned away from Valvrave's supposed "reputation" then I'm certain they're not the kind of people that will like Saki as she's a controversial character
Saki is not for people that are easily offended

Finally got the chance to read Ryusei no Otome in its entirety, and very glad I did .
I never would've thought that Shoko and Saki would both get better final scenes with Haruto in supplementary adaptions than in the actual anime . That kiss . And that last scene of Saki finally being honest about her feelings . At the very least, Haruto's memory and promise, her love for him, as well as his being a light to her like Aina was, will help keep her determined and unwilling to give up in the centuries to come ... I only know a few things about the Tokyo Ghoul MC, but I'd say the Kamen Riders would've been a good alternative to Haruto as well. Accepting what makes you a "monster," or separates you from humanity, and using it to defend others and those you care about. Which Haruto did do for the most part, just with a lot more angst .
