Pretty much our tag team is Saeko and Hirano. A sword wielding girl and an gun-otaku as pretty much seen in most of the official art.

Kouta + Saeko = good tagteam partners, one long range one melee, romance...well Saeko thinks Hirano as manly, that's a plus.

For those who said if Takashi/ Hirano had sex then they had "lost it", I recommend a 2000 anime series called Blue Gender. It is in a similar apocalypse world, with the main character woke up from cyrogenic sleep. In the earlier episodes he found the main female character having sex with another character, and wonder if they are in love. The main female character just casually explained to him that it is the apocalypse world and that is the norm. The main female character did not "lost it" and I believe she survived at the end. But then Blue Gender is directed by legendary director Takahashi Ryosuke so they are not on the same league.

There's one big difference between the two in blue gender it took several years for the two main characters to shack up and they stayed together, unlike the drunken spare of the moment one night stand that was about to happen in HOTD.

Bottom line if Takashi had man up a bit before it would have been them and Rei from the start and Hisashi would just be the best friend. Though in HOTD they made Hisashi x Rei at the start of highschool while Tak's lol is in emo mode over that matter. 2 girls point interest, but later as we see it's still Takashi x Rei for now.......

We need more Kouta Hirano pics.

Or probably Saeko.

Forgive me if this has been answered already, but I don't have the luxury of reading 10+ pages of character & episode discussion & image postings (sub-forum, please!). Were the girls drunk or were they a little light headed from their fun bath? I want to know because it'd change the meaning behind what happened with Takashi and Rei.

Either they had beer stashed in the bathroom, or they were tired from all the breast-touching and playing around they did in the bathroom, or it was probably all the steam that made them severally light-headed

Did they cut a manga panel with sake or beer out of the episode? It was just weird cause part of the time Rei acted drunk, then she wasn't. I guess we'll just go with light headed from the hot bath and repeated groping.

Not that I can recall, but in the manga it seems Takashi right up asked if they had been drinking and they said "Only a little". Plus, timeline-wise, there's time for them to get drunk since Saeko had time to find an apron, start laundry, and begin cooking a snack.
