I don't doubt that it was actually announced at the event (there's enough tweets confirming that), just that the opening post lacks an "official" source.

I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I have enjoyed both seasons that currently exist. On the other hand, while it is a nice slice-of-life, or perhaps because it is a slice-of-life... literally nothing happened in the second season in terms of the plot going anywhere. I'd hope that with this season, the plot moves forward

With series like Working, you look for minor developments rather than massive world-shaking stuff -- see Inami gradually hurting Souta less for example, to the point where it actually STOPPED for one episode.

That's not to say big changes shouldn't happen -- they do -- but the problem for the new season will be WHICH ones to use (there are several).
