They clearly don't know the rules, teams know it, and if Goodell won't bring back the real refs, expect some pain and injuries.
I totally agree with this. It was a bad call on the field. In fact, I never saw it called a simultaneous catch. I saw two different officials calling two different things at once (one didn't overrule the other) and somehow they never even stated what the original call on the field was before reviewing it. Terrible officiating.

And if to stroke the flames, the NFL came out today and said that since the play occurred in the endzone, it was reviewable and it was overturnable, but still backs the call. It's amazing how the NFL refuses to budge.

So I hear that the Bronco player that took a piece of Texans QB, Matt Schaub ear is getting suspended for one game on top of the Fine. I expected that to happen.

This one is intelligent. And too bad. Had it happened in the 70's... it would have stuck.

So, word is tomorrow's Ravens vs Browns game is going to have even more chanting than the Ravens vs Patriots had. Louder manure chants, chants along the lines of "Pay the real refs", and I think there was a third one. Keep an ear out!

Well those chants probably won't occur. A deal has been worked out between the NFL and the NFLRA. There could be crews working this weekend. The nightmare is finally over.

Last I heard it was "close", not done. And if it isn't done by tomorrow night's game, I'll expect the chants.

The articles I read give a time frame of about 1 more week to finalize the deal, with emphasis on about. Meanwhile I'm looking forward to football a lot since my team is finally good.

I think the best part of this whole debacle besides being a shining example of how the unbridled greed espoused by the likes of romney/Ryan can ruin anything good and decent like Monday night football is that theres like one degree of separation between it and a law passed by Ryan himself that made the ref lockout possible. It's just perfect, and weeks before the election too. Maybe this happening to football can help average Americans connect the dots and make a more informed choice about the type of society they want in 2013.

^ Really?
From what I read it said close.
Here is hoping the deal gets down.

If not , we will have to wait who gets hurt this week.
Last week IMO it was Matt from the Texans and DHB from the Raiders.
