I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the humor by not knowing Japanese but for some reason I still find this show extremely enjoyable. Want moooooaaaaar. : D

Agreed Otarusama, but I must admit that what I get I find extremely funny. Ep 2 had me in stitches.

And I think the ED for this one may be in the top three for summer 2012 series for me....

No.
It may be similar to female jockey.
In rakugo world, women are traditionally in charge of playing the shamisen behind the stage.

They haven't given up, their translator is delayed by exams. And anything done by Kumeta takes time and finesse to sub.

I was wondering what happened to episode 3. I had my checklist of episodes I had watched ready with the last episode being Joshitaku unticked. At least now I know thanks to the information on this thread

Joshiraku has also been delayed by the Olympics. On the other hand, that gives gg more time to catch up on episodes 3/4... but gives them two to work once it comes back.

Nah, most of the Olympic delays only apply to the particular TV station. I think in Joshiraku's case the airings for the next couple ep.s will only be delayed one day into Friday.

I still haven't caught the third and fourth episodes...perhaps for the moment I might as well try watching raw. I guess if gg's subs for ep. 3 don't come up by tomorrow, I'll give it a go.

Also, for the record I wonder if people here know about the kumetan wiki. Probably a more or less complete index for references in Kumeta series, so far as his Japanese fans have figured out. Unfortunately/as expected, in Japanese, but still somewhat navigable. Good to use for cross-checking in cases where translation notes might not be thorough enough.

There we go. Been a bit of a wait for episode 3, but totally worth it.

The first segment may have begun on a note of Valentines' Day, but it didn't stay there for long. Ayane Sakura is doing a great job as Marii. The moment when she started ranting about her past life was a lot of fun to watch. And for being the least feminine of the group, she seems to be the one most prone to doing fanservice shots.

For the second sketch, loved Kururu reading out the good luck fortune with just as much passion as the bad luck one. But the final segment was the best. Tetora's got a massive amount of happiness energy, the opposite of whatever Akarin is afflicted with. And the moment when the walls fell around her was very Buster Keaton-esque. And of course, the exploding TV.

This show probably takes the longest to get subs for, but that makes it even sweeter. Pure, undiluted silliness. Loving it.

They question Marii's womanhood, yet they stripped her in the first 5 minutes of the first episode. Kinda surprised she didn't cover that in this episode. Oh well, it was fun to hear Marii try her best to disprove the claim anyway.

And lol @ Tetora's incredible luck. Reminds me of Ichiko from Binbougami, another person whose good fortune is detrimental to that of others.

Loved the start with Marii XD Every few seconds she would gain hope that a friend was taking her side, then it immediately gets crushed

Hmm...should I be replacing those 'She' and 'her' with 'him' and 'his'....I hope not

Her methods of proving that she was a girl was extreme, but satisfying and needed

But damn she had quite a few bad experiences in the past 0_0 Swapped at birth? She can really remember that far back? XD

Kukuru got a great misfortune! Nooo! My favourite character can't have a future of sadness and depression!

Woah, Tetora is like a good like charm! I want to have one of her around me 24/7
