I like this series and all, but it's starting to become a little boring.
Dont get me wrong, i love all the drama with saito, louise and basically all the girls in the series, but Saito is starting to get a bit dull.

I mean the whole "completely and totally normal guy getting thrown into weird stuff" isn't really working for me, he just seems to lack depth as a character at this stage. I'm hoping for some a more fulfilling backstory.

E.g. Saito manages to get back to his world for a while, goes to his address and finds out his entire memory from before he got summoned to be memory implants or something, and he was made to be Gandalfr by some organization in his world which unites science and magic to produce super soldiers etc and he's one of them.

This way the story gets interesting new bad guys, and Saito gets the long due power-up by rediscovering his power from the super-soldier thing.

I guess this whole thing is because i like a bit more angst in a character, which Saito sorta lacks.

As much as I like whacked out story lines, for the author to make some kind of dramatic change like that would be suicidal.

Probably, but I'm just hoping that in some way they make Saito's past actually an issue of some sort, so that what is actually going on with the country actually has to do with him for once. (Him being Saito, not Gandalfr)

Well, I don't agree with you. I am very happy with the story staying in the ZnT universe. The moment they try to branch out to other places is when it'll get (in my opinion) too big for this author. We already have a good number of side stories to follow, adding a whole new world into the mix is a huge jump.

Perhaps, but i think what i really want is there to be a reason Saito was chosen.

Anyway, since I can't find 13+ in english i need to ask, did something happen to Derflinger? Since i was reading a different forum a while back and it sounded like he wasn't around or something.

it's very important for me so please answear me seriously:does tabitha(or should we say now charlotte?)really sleep at night "above" saito with louise and siesta at his side or was that just a joke?did she asked for it(and thus confessed)and is it because of him than she give up her crown-to her twin?

It has been said many times - it is pointless to say up to what volume it covers because there are just too big differences. technically it ends at volume 12 of the novels but it skipped so much chapters and events in the anime that it is still adviced to read the whole novels.

Yup. The anime is screwed up so badly it flew past chapters faster than missiles......a lot of detail is lost and that is why we really advise you to read the novel.......you will discover a lot of differences between novel and anime.......

Is the novel finished? Is a translation project ongoing for this? Last I read was Volume 12 in baka-tsuki...
