Probably because 360 is doing quite well in those 2 countries. If I'm correct, the LTD of 360 in US is around 40m while the PS3 is just around 20-25 million. No idea about the sales in UK but the split might probably the same. Hence why people were saying that but it will all change in this next-gen.

I had a good laugh @ Knack outselling Mario this week in the UK. The Wii U is done lmao.

Europe's pretty much going to stay Sony, I mean the PS3 outselling the 360 says it all, Japan is becoming irrelevant, America is still up for grabs, but MS need to make big calls (drop Kinect) soon. Edit - #dead @ this. |

China : 1 million a month Japan : 100k-200k a month There's a small amount of Japan-made units out in the European wilderness, which implies that Sony probably had to increase production on their own supply chain instead of just China's. I am guessing that they would be shipping at least 200k to the Asian countries for December Asian launch, while allocating all the rest to fulfill demand at US/UK/EU.

Pretty much only that, the "plan" as of what we know now is that Sony's using Gaikai as a surrogate for PS3 games backward's compatibility and allowing you to play PS3 games on your PS4 through their cloud service. Beyond that no one (except Sony and Gaikai) knows anything. Service won't start proper until Q3-4 next year, which is the prospective timeframe for rolling out the American service.
