More like Jeremiah causes trouble for him while he's trying to make his attempts to save her, and the opportunity only just arose. Funny, this makes me think of the Mao thing where Lelouch and Suzaku worked against Mao to save Nunnally. Except, this time it's Lelouch and Rolo working together to rescue Kallen meanwhile fighting against Mr. Citrus fruit who's the namesake of his colour.

So wait, Kallen's being held at Ashford?

He'll probably lose since everyone on Lelouch's side is friggin useless on their own.

meh, I don't really care about Rolo and it's the truth. We might get something like Rolo losing to Orange and Lelouch saves Kallen who then saves Rolo and the school.

That could very well be - if Orange blows their cover by making chaos out at Ashford, Lelouch might have little choice but to leave Ashford behind.

Well, that could be it. Maybe he foresaw that Kallen wouldn't get any worse punishment than being shipped back to Area 11/Her family's home/Ashford, so he returned to Area 11 in order to prepare a way to rescure her without any complications - but of course, Orange-kun & the Geass cult had to interfere and mess things up...

Funny how nobody has yet mentioned it.

Orange is going to cause major trouble at the Academy. The most logical entry for Jeremiah is as a member of the Secret Intelligence given how Villeta was his former subordinate. That means Lelouch is going to be locked down in his movement. He can't waltz into the command center like he used to and possibly have no access to Shinkirou. Both Lelouch and Secret Intelligence people has to put up quite a facade to fool Jeremiah because he's geass-immune. And given that Jeremiah might possibly be a geass-user now, the front with the Secret Intelligence is likely to crumble.

Add to top of that, Gino, Anya and Suzaku are around. Lelouch situation could be made even worse if Anya outed him as the Prince of Brittania, shining a major spotlight on him.

If that's the case, Sayako, Lelouch, Rolo and Villetta is going to have to work overtime...

In another word, I wouldn't diss the return of the Academy arc just yet. It looks like it could be an rather thrilling cloak and dagger arc.

Thank you for pointing this out. This Ashford arc - if we can call it that - is all ready 4 Turns long. There's a lot of character tension evident. Relationships and rivalries. I know so many people want to leave Ashford behind but come on guys, d'you think the staff is using a 4-Turn Ashford arc just for laughs?!
