We'll see... It's almost like they are aiming to outdo Gundam 00 for now.

I think the control he had over that project was extremely limited. For one, he didn't write very episode script (and it was noticeable when he didn't). Second, it seemed more like the director's pet project than anything else.

Gargantia wasn't very great and A-1 isn't exactly the best choice for animating this kind of show but since Urobuchi is on board, I will watch it and if it has CGI, it has to be done either by Orange (heard Majestic Prince features some of the best CGI in a while) or Sanzigen (did a good job on 009: Re Cyborg and Arpeggio of Blue Steel).

Sure but I'm still going to keep a decent level of caution when it comes to this show. At least until more information comes out to let us know that this won't be another Gargantia.

Will Urobuchi fully write this mecha series's script? If so, then my expectation will be pretty high. I know most of Gargantia's story wasn't really written by him, that's why my expectation for it was moderate and the anime somewhat delivers (especially for a limited 12-episode series).
That statement is pretty much contradictory. If you only want “anything with humongous piloted robot”, then Sunrise’s animes are perfect for you . Also, Sunrise still has the upcoming last episode of the excellent Gundam Unicorn, so I think they still has a good new thing to offer.

LOL don’t worry, I know perfectly well what what you meant since I first read it . I’m just fooling around with you since you said “anything with humongous piloted robots is would be great idea” which Sunrise’s series have them in spades .

Man, this looks interesting. Then again, it's a Gen Urobuchi work; of course it looks awesome. XD
Though, with all the projects he has under is belt currently (Psycho Pass 2, Gargantia 2, Kamen Rider Gaim, Expelled From Paradise, and now this), do you guys worry that the quality of his writing for this may suffer as a result? |

Another series by Urobutcher? Good grief...
Massive cruelty pretty much guaranteed. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a very dark and gloomy "End of the world/Last resort" type mecha scenario... I would rather be surprised if it is not. |
