When talking about firing the etherion cannon, Sieg said that if it fails, his life is gone. I'm paraphrasing there, but does that mean that Sieg is somehow connected to the Etherion? Or is it just some political play? I have a feeling it's the former
And is natsu really out of the picture just yet? I wonder if he'll play a part in possibly making the Etherion cannon be stopped

I think his fears are rather tied to either Gerard surviving (since he mentioned that Sieg would be in trouble) or Zeref resurrected. I'd pick option 1 since both seem to have a strange connection, both know the past Erza and both have this strange tattoo around their right eye, dunno if it's the same or just similar.

I think they're the same perso IMO, so if Gerard dies from the blast so will Sieg..

Uhm actually Sieg said he will die if the cannon fails, besides that why would he insist in firing when it would mean his death? Doesn't make sense to me.

I think that Erza and Natsu are screwed. Not because the Etherion seemingly destroyed the tower and everyone inside it but because I think that that power will be used to resurrect Zeref. Jeral gave a smile that showed that he was planning something when it hit.

Had the same idea with Etherion being the needed power to make it all happen but of course the two are not screwed that easily. I rather predict the tower absorbing the energy without harming anyone inside while Gerard tries to 'sacrifice' Erza until Natsu jumps in. Anyway could go another way as well, FT always manages to suprise me after all.

I think that's exactly whats going to happen. It was said that the power needed to resurrect zeref was over 2 billion, 7 hundred million thoughts of magical power / even if all the mages of the continent gathered there wouldn't be enough magic to revive him. But how powerful is the Etherion? Have they mentioned what it could do? Maybe the Etherion is the thing that will just barely open the door for zeref's revival, and Gerard and erza's nakama will be the final touch to opening the door. Atleast thats what i think he's planning.

yes, but if I read that correctly, I highly doubt anyone saw Seig being another piece of Zeref. Plus I wonder if natsu's going to tap into his hidden potential anytime soon, as Seig was really looking forward to that

Wtf.... I didn't even realize Sieglien and Gerad were 2 different people in the first place :S I kept thinking they were the same person just going from place to place. Looks like I was right in a way :P
