Noteworthy "flags" that have been applied to the anime

going back in time and deleting your post for the heck of it is random and fun

Quite hectic, don't you think?
Sounds like the anime makers just want to screw the heads of you game vets. I guess they want to at least try to be unpredictable.

i think they will include stuff from all three endings to keep things as vague as possible

Ya think?

I'm enjoying this treatment though.

Because of this I think the point of no return will be episode 14 instead of 13.

The anime is going towards a "new" end.

IMO it will be an original end, none of the game endings.

Perhaps, but I sure don't want a cop out ending like "Kanon"

What I'm worrying about is that there will be a lesser ending. Because the game writer proved himself, but what about the anime screenwriter? Unless it's the same person, it will suck in comparison to the game.

Hmmm...well like 90% of anime out there I'm not expecting any type of a decent ending.

Lets put it this way, most anime have REALLY REALLY horrible endings, no matter HOW good the series may be.

I personally didn't care for any of the endings in the game either.

That surely is an unexepected resume.

Although, I'm very sure he played the game or at least worked with someone who did.

Just curious... at this point of the series, are there any sequence that only appeared in other alternate endings?

ie. not ending with any of the 3 main female characters...

I think Ayu helping out Takayuki to get a copy of Mayauru's Gift is exclusive to her route, but it has very little forshadowing power compared to the ones listed above.

Nurse Amakawa's (little nurse) recent disapearance from the anime is probably a nod to her story as well.

Speaking of Amakawa, Takayuki gets into medical school in her ending @_@

It's an achievement far greater than what he accomplishes in Haruka, Mitsuki and Akane's endings combined.

It's also one of the better story lines in my opinion. Very inspiring.

Hmm... interesting, its really a mix of everything...

That makes Shinji one of the key figure to decide on the outcome to this series.

Thanks...

The only other works that I've seen from him is AYA and AYA ~E~ and I can stand by that he DOES follow the manga closely.

So he may follow the game closely...but who knows...

It seems the director *IS* trying to hit all the bases, but not go as far as to have several stories a la kanon. Unfortunately, I think this is causing the plot to bear alot more weight than it should... we'll see if he can keep its on its feet by the end.

Honestly, I love the way game elements are being put in the anime.

First of all, the elements inserted from different endings allows the gamers to be confused. (Which is a good thing IMHO, nothing's worse than being able to 'know' the ending of an anime)

Secondly, the subtle details into the secondary characters really allow the game vets to appreciate the anime. As opposed to just selecting a storyline and following it, this anime also allows the other characters to develop (although it's more/less 'backstage development')

Poor Amakawa... hope she doesn't follow the game's ending.

Unfortunately, No.

The one holding the final say will still be Takayuki. -_-

"To f* or not to f*, that is the question."
Shinji's decision whether to get it on with Mitsuki will have a huge impact on Takayuki's decision though.

So in a way, Takayuki's going to be the one making the choice, but Shinji will also have a huge part in 'forcing' Takayuki to make the decision.

Picture the following:

Shinji: (Beats Takayuki up)
Takayuki: "What the hell?"
Shinji: "That's for treating your girlfriend like crap. You'd better make up with her, cuz she really needs you now. If you don't, you can be damn sure that I'll take her from you."

VERSUS:

Shinji: "Hey Takayuki, you know you've been mistreating Mitsuki lately. So you know what? Last night she came to me and we spent the night. So what are you gonna do?"

Takayuki: "..." (In that case then it's a Mitsuki bad ending =P)

Better yet

Shinji: "You know Takayuki, you're such a stupid asshole, and I can't stand Mitsuki suffering for you.""

(Pulls out AK-47)

Shinji: "Before you die, I'll tell you a secret. Mitsuki finds me MUCH better than you in bed. So now you're not useful anymore, you can die in peace."

*gunshots*

Shinji (wipes blood off shirt) *EVIL GRIN*

If I didn't know better, I'd say you are a clairvoyant, eMpTy265

Oh, and by "final say", I'm referring to the final final FINAL say.

Episode 14 type of final say.
