I do think Fuu forcing herself to be more assertive by performing fatalities on anyone who makes her angry would have its own kind of charm.

Darn it, I love Tamayura and all, but now I really want to see this show.

I just came across a promotional poster for Tamayura Season 2. I think you'll like it, Dr. Casey.

Not quite sure what I think about her using a Pentax Q though. It actually does kind of fit a cute character, since it's essentially Pentax's attempt to create a "toy interchangeable lens camera" that still takes decent pictures - but it's hard to get around the fact it costs more than significantly more capable "enthusiast compacts" like my Panasonic LX7.

Well if the new character uses a Pentax Q this obviously explains the 'more aggressive' part of the title.
Fuu, as you may recall, uses an old Rollei 35, so the aggression will come from their regular arguments over which is better, film or digital.

Rollei 35S - the original Rollei 35 used an 40mm f/3.5 lens, the S uses an 40mm/f2.8.
I wonder if there's a bit market for shows about cute girls arguing about cute cameras.

Julio, I'm sure the series will be the exact same it's always been. The title is just a throwback to the promise Fuu made with Chihiro, as Dawn explained. I doubt their promise will even reap much in the way of results/character development despite being featured in the title. It's kind of like how numerous anime series end with a "This everyday life can't last forever. I know that things will change, slowly but surely..." monologue, even though you know the characters will never age, character relationships will run around in circles indefinitely, and basically nothing will ever change.
If that's the case, then I'll be glad to watch it then.

We have titles.

The singers are the same as before.

OP is "Hajimari no Umi" by Maaya Sakamoto
ED is "Arigatou" by Megumi Nakajima

Simple titles, for a simple show. And likely to be some of the calmest, most soothing music of the season.

Wow, of all the words I could use to describe this show, "aggressive" definitely isn't one of them

Now I'm going to imagine all the girls being as hyper as the KMB/Yuyushiki cast

According to the official site(and Moon Phase), this premieres on "7/03 21:30" on AT-X. Tokyo MX airs it an hour later than that.

Same as always

Eh. I so hope Junichi Sato would make smth more like Aria or Kaleido Star sometime. His SoL animes about japaneese schoolgirls just don't "catch" me.

I found Tamayura to have much of the same appeal as Aria, once I had seen enough episodes to appreciate the characters.

Aria was the same way for me, actually--nothing special until I was familiar with the characters and had gotten used to the pacing.

I'm actually still not completely sold on this one. It's a great show once you get into the characters but I feel like it lost it's most effective drive by solving the issue in the original 4 episode OVA.

It's decent enough but it's no Aria, that show had fantastic world building (something Tamayura hasn't managed to equal yet).

Yeah. It was announced sometime ago that Fuu would get a rival.

Exactly my thoughts. Plus in Aria moe part of the characters was not so... showy(dunno how to say it better).

Tamayura is certainly no Aria (then again, no other slice of life/iyashikei series comes close to it) but I'm still loving it. The characters are incredibly endearing and the show is relaxing and touching. I think it's closer to Hidamari Sketch or Sketchbook (replace art with photography).

Mine, too. My online dictionary gives "forceful" as a possible translation. When English words are taken into Japanese, their meaning and/or connotations often shift a bit.
