Best Episode Yet
This was absolutely hilarious. Momoka is the most refreshing anime protagonist I've seen in a long time, and this episode cements that.
Everything that was present, from the helicopter gag to Momoka's conscience (I was surprise to find out that she even had one), was pure gold. The animation was great as well, especially for the fight scene. Wasn't expecting that since the budget for this series seems pretty modest. This show is just... Amazing. It completely embraces it's absurdity and I love it for that.

I don't necessarily think it has to do with the wrong mindset, even if you understand what the show is attempting to do. Being mean-spirited for the sake of comedy just isn't going to work for some. Different strokes for different folks. I know I wouldn't like this show as much if some of the girls misdeeds weren't paid in full.

Can't believe I ignored this show in the beginning of the season because I was thinking it was going to be another C3. Took a look at episode 5 out of boredom and boy how wrong was I. This series is so insane and over the top that it's hard me to not crack up.
I like how episode 4 made Momoka's mom a homage to The Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3.

The whole hunting sequence was just stranger than usual, almost like it was kind of encouraging people to take up hunting (once they're old enough), in a kind of silly way. Not entirely sure what they were trying to do there.
The genderflip sequence was quite fun in its own way. I did like the continuity of the third part, where as soon as the mysterious stranger pulled out a gun I thought "Oh, that must be Momoka's mum, I recognise her gun from a few episodes back", and it was. This show occasionally does continuity in a very good way. She's a very strange woman... |
