Its made by a hentai author, so its... really bad in terms of quality of the character drawings. (Yes, even his tankobons look like that.)
Oh also, we dont have anyone tling gun-ota for the past weeks now so was wondering if we should release a chapter from our pile of already tl'd chapters.

A lot of series are drawn by mangaka that also have drawn hentai, that's not really a qualifier for automatic bad quality.
If you have a stack of chapters done and ready to be released, why not just release one a week while looking for a new translator?

That prologue scene has to be much further ahead than the latest translated chapter of the web novel, because as of that chapter, he hasn't even made grenades yet, much less a second AK.

I read all the translated chapters. Some people early in the thread kept warning about volume 3 so I was dreading reading through it.
There's nothing wrong with it. He got made a slave but he gained two harem members and he needed the blunt reminder that his guns don't make him invincible. If readers wanted a protagonist that was a flawless, cold-hearted badass the whole time then sure they'll be disappointed. Now he got really, REALLY lucky that his experience as a slave wasn't the usual dark, bleak and barbaric kind. Plus a lot of coincidences and timely arrivals really helped him out. Still, he's learned from the experience. Now from what I understand this was a web novel first, then became a light novel, and now a manga? Were there any big changes from web to light novel format? Tosh, Oh Great, Maybe, Hisasi, the illustrator for Shinami Maou no Testament (both LN and the main manga), and more all came from hentai. I find that the opposite is more true, where if an artist comes from a hentai background and enters mainstream their work tends to be one of the best.

Aye, the story could have gotten darker with the whole slavery thing but it remained quite bright & upbeat when there isn't any overly serious matter.
I only read the WN so I'm no sure what the differences are in the LN version. On the latest WN chapters: Spoiler:

I'm surprised that this series a lot tamer than I though, even though they said "get killed", "brutally murder" and anything that sound so serious, the author not showing us anything brutal or gore or even if he shadowing us something that's dark but when it actually happen it doesn't look threatening or dark at all. it's just like He telling us there's a spiky ball over there but when we get closed to it, it's actually just made of plastic.
That's just my complain about this series, I know it's good that it's nothing too dangerous happen to the MC and his harem but I kinda disappointed with how this series go, that's just my opinion all right.
