That doesn't mean its immediately after the battle. Because he could have done a lot of stuff (like resting) before he proceeded to upload the battle data. People also seem to be more calmer in general from what I've noticed. The way I see it, Grodek ageed to foster competition between the pilots, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I won't be surprised if its a move to give a chance for Flit to improve if he really wants to prove himself worthy of piloting the Gundam, because at the moment Flit is not the best of pilots.

That's because the bridge crew stole the ship. The original bridge crew was tied up and thrown in a dark room. Obviously this impostor crew wouldn't know the "White Wolf" was on board.

They seem to have gotten away with it though, as they noted the Federation had taken the Nora colony core to safety, and I imagine those Fed ships that escorted the core might have said something if they had suspected the current Diva bridge crew were impostors.

Of course, most of the current Diva bridge crew have no idea they are impostors. They all think the previous crew was released right before the attack and Grodek put in as the Captain. It's kind of amusing that they're all technically rebels while they all think they're still Federation soldiers, all because Grodek is so James Bond.

It looks like Emily is going to use this little bit of knowledge to try to blackmail him next episode, based off the preview. Probably try to get Grodek to ground Flit from flying the Gundam.

Woolf is essentially Patrick Colasour without the particle beam magnet attached to his mobile suit.

Except Woolf actually talks the talk and walks the walk, at least so far...

And Woolf's ace pilot title of the White Wolf reminds me of the Zeon ace pilot too. Overall, the episode was a great watch.
I don't find him cocky in an asshole way, moreso in a "hey look how awesome and experienced I am, shouldn't I get the best suit as the team leader?" kind of way.

Also the fact that he had absolutely no idea what the hell was going on made him more amusing than a jerk. I mean if you want to see the real asshole version of that you need to see Gundam 0083's Bernard Monsha. Sometimes it was hard to tell if he was friend or foe the way he developed tunnel vision towards his rivalry with Kou, but Woolfy is clearly on the level and capable of being a team player and a leader at that.

The Feddies already came and picked the colony core up. They are heading for their next mission now.

Small correction. The crew itself is legit, it's just Commander Grodek who's a rebell. That's why the others were shocked in episode two when they found out he was in charge.

No, creb's right. If you watch Ep 2 again, the "new" crew was wondering what happened to the old bridge crew. All of their info was erased by Grodek. Since they didn't have the time, they decided to launch the Diva themselves.

Well what a difference a week makes...I thought last week was good, but this episode had me rolling my monoeye all episode...

I'll concede that this show is probably the right decision to cater to a more youthful fan-base, but I won't concede the fact that this show is operating under any kind of subtle depth or even above average direction...

The lack of exposition between Wolf's introduction, Wolf and Flit's fight, and the Captains' lack of any protocol concerning any of this was cheap shammy stuff...The likes you'd find in any card show...I mean no in-fight preparations at all between two new fighters? Let's just duke it out for the Gundam? Then Bam! New friends, forget the skill they were trying to determine...

And LOL, WTH was with Wolf's BGM's in this episode? They were horrible...The music in this show has been generally forgettable, but Wolf's music was straight out of a freestyle running video...

Very disappointed in this episode on a multiple of fronts, but the story execution concerning Wolf and Flit's dynamic was just lazy if not just intentionally elementary...Then you get the captain in the end, acting like he's figured something out, to suppress the otherwise linear episode...

The story-telling has got to pick up...I've conditioned myself to ignore some of the character designs because if the story is great it can be engaging...However this episode makes it hard to do...

What did get my wolf-ears tingling though was the scene in the end when he stole that big plastic gun from Flit and blew up the asteroid...That was atleast cool...

So I take it you agree with 99% of my post except for the gun reference? Um, I think the gun looks kinda silly, no biggie...

Was watching this...

Then that big spaceship disappeared... and all I could think of was this.

That aside, character building episode builds character.

This is with current off-the-shelf technology. Presumably future technology would be better.
The UE didn't even use ordinary thruster for their mobile suits.

Actually, I do not agree with anything you said. I'm just sort of confused as to why you threw in "big plastic gun" in there.

Was that just an insult for the sake of insulting?

Don't you often say good$hit for the sake of saying good$hit? Why should the otherside be any different? If that's indeed what I was doing...Which I'm not sure I was, but...

Man I just can't stay mad at you. It's like every post is a rap song or something. I want to lay down some beats and see how it goes.
