This is just me throwing it out there, but I always took it a bit like she didn't want to admit where her true feelings lie because she figured it would split the trio up. Her sub-conscious thinking (cruel though this may be) may have been that "Haru is the way he is (i.e. overweight/unattractive, antisocial), so he'll always stay close to me, but Taku might drift away if I don't keep him close" (keep in mind that he used to go to a different school). So, choosing Taku may have been a way to try to keep the three of them from tearing further apart in her mind. At the time, she may have reasoned that she loves both Taku and Haru anyway. But I think it's clear now that the feeling she has for them are quite different, and she's naive if she believes that Taku would never figure that out. (Well, basically, we already know from the first arc that he knows full well.) It was Haru meeting Kuroyukihime that "accelerated" () this eventuality.

Concerning the relationship of the three (Chiyu, Haru, and Taku), as relentlessflame mentioned, KYH accelerated the feelings Chiyu had on Haru. What I did find missing (and puzzling) is that there were no other rivals crushing on Taku. Here you have a guy who many view as perfect in a lot of ways, yet there was no girl aggressive enough to chase after him. I'm sure if that happened, Chiyu will then feel threaten as well. Or, on the hand, Chiyu will realize her feelings better and be able to sort things out.

Thankfully, there's no fifth wheel in Accel World, else things could get ugly.

Wow Chiyu is one pushy broad! I think this whole episode was her being passive-aggressive or downright aggressive with her assertion that the three be friends like they used too, but since KYH is out of town it'd be kind of difficult for her to join Nega Nebulous right now and achieve that goal. It seems like she'd go to almost any length to achieve that goal which is probably going to make for a bit of a rough ride of an arc.

That new guy definitely seems to be accelerating though going by the visual cue when he kept striking Taku faster than he can see. Hasn't it occured to Haru that he might just be on a private network or something? It seems like he just gets kind of absent minded and forgets the obvious whenever KYH isn't around. I have a hunch he's there to try to move in on KYH's territory while she's absent and this arc is going to be about Haru and Taku trying to hold down the fort while trying to manage Chiyu's stubborness and keep her safe from anyone that might find out about her ability.

There was this backdoor program Taku installed into Chiyu's neuro linker, which led KYH to enlist Haru to help her solve this problem.
All students are obliged to log on to the school network, the strange thing was that even though they confirmed earlier that no burst linker joined as a first year, KYH was still attacked (?) during her speech, when she couldn't have been.

They don't know how the new one does it, so Haru is suspicious of Noumi, who apparently used burst link to read Taku's blow.

Chiyu's power makes a lot of sense given the romantic drama that is going between her, Taku and Haru. A way to heal the relationship if that is even possible she wants to go back in time but to be in the accelerated world means to move forward not back. Its clear who she really loves but she has KYH to contend with and she already stated, she will never turn her back on Haru and she will never give him up. At this point i feel KYH loves Haru more and very genuinely perhaps more than Chiyu. Having them both on the team is going to be interesting and poor Haru is going to take the brunt of it. We have already seen how jealous KYH can get.

Since I'm almost two weeks behind the episodes, I'll be concise with this review.

The meaning of the title likely derives that Noumi is playing an illegal program or application protocol to Burst Link while having his profile in Accel World remained hidden from the login session, that's my take.

Now, the gist of things is that with this new and suspecting students coming while Kuroyukihime is going to the Okinawan trip, then the horizon now doesn't bode well for both Taku and Haru, particularly that Chiyu has installed Brain Burst and have her duel avatar created in Accel World.

Add that in Accel World birthed her as a rare healer-type of avatar, and if word spreads out then things will turn not only chaotic but so different that the three of them could eventually be drifted apart from each other.

Not really. In her butterfly avatar, Kyh is *literally* flat as a board. In her Black Lotus avatar, she seems to have about as much breasts as she has in her school uniform.

I think the breast size of Chiyu's avatar is her perceived size of breasts, as she seems to be ignorant of the effect she has on men (esp. Haru).
