From what my friend told me
ep20~21(half) = novel vol8
ep21(half)~22 = novel vol9
ep23~25 = novel vol10

It should be the same episode/novel division as I've said it was before. I don't see how your friend concluded that episode 21 is going to cover half of volume 9 based on those summaries.

I was speculating at 20-21 for vol 8, 22-23 for vol 9... then what's left for vol 10. Seems a bit close... though I guess giving more time for vol 10 means they're focusing atleast on some sort of conclusion.

Spoiler for Episode 21 - No Matter What:

The class of 2C arrives at the ski resort for their school field trip. Everyone is having fun skiing except for Taiga and Ryuji who can’t ski, when something causes a fight [not necessarily a physical one] to start up. Even the class mood setters Ami and Minori get involved. What was supposed to be a fun school trip gets completely turned around and shrouded in a dangerous atmosphere.

Spoiler for Episode 22 - The Scenery You're In:

The submission day for the students’ advancement surveys arrives. While Ryuji absentmindedly wishes to go to college, he decides to choose work instead. The reasoning being he doesn’t want to burden the mother that singlehandedly raised him, financially anymore. But because Yasuko wishes for her son’s happiness above all else, she strongly recommends Ryuji to continue on to college.

The last two episodes (24 and 25) will cover the soon to be released final novel (volume 10).
