Nononono (ノノノノ) by Okamoto Lynn (Elfen Lied)

3 years before the next Winter Olympics, Nonomiya Yuuta suddenly shows up as a nobody on the ski-jumping scene with jawdropping skills. However, Yuuta is revealed to be a girl, who is masquerading as a boy in order to participate in ski-jumping, a men's only sport, aiming for a gold medal in the Winter Olympics.

This is a seinen series, so the ecchi isn't some immature thing that pops up every chapter. The detail illustrated in the sport is also very deep. However, since it's Okamoto Lynn who drew Elfen Lied, the backstory for most characters is pretty dark and there are some really scary faces that look kinda out of place.

Oh wow, I started reading up to Ch. 4 and I really love the premise. So far, this is definitely a keeper for me to continue on reading. I'm actually liking a gender-bender and sports manga for once...

I've read up to chp 68? And it does a nice job of keeping you entertained. I think at that time, I was caught up, and decided to wait until a set of chapters so I can read it in arcs, since the chaps are so small (=_=).

So this series seems to still be, being translated, but no comments or followers?

Its a strange one. I rather like it, but it seems to delight in abusing its characters to the extreme... Makes me wonder a bit about the author that he seems to think he's writing a sports-romance comedy... but it's full of angst ridden violent thugs and emo-boys. Hmmm... now I'm wondering about myself finding it interesting enough to read!

Anyone else?

Feels like this is kishitani's last jump, whether he makes it or not, he probably won't recover enough to continue the sport.

Kishitani's whole ordeal seems so, so unrealistic to me what with the amount of blood he's shedding. Why has the man not fainted yet?

Maybe it's because of his love for Nono that he's found a sense of strength to continue what he's doing...?

Who knows, but I'm surprised that he was able to stand and hide it for so long.

Spoiler for up to chp 68: I guess Nono isn't going to get her chance at Hans? I've only read up to Shiriya getting his proper skiis and him vs Nono in the next competition. I didn't like that Kiratani(?) made the cut, when he's so mediocre. He should have simply been moral support for Nono... oh wait, that's Amatsu's job. Well, he's useless then =0\. Anyway, I guess I should get back into it if it's gonna end =0<.

But what do you mean it's getting a premature ending? It still feels like they have so much to go through, like Inter High, and then on to the Olympics! Don't tell me that was some sort of ending! D: Spoiler for Ending: Edit; Oh, after a bit of research I see what you mean now. That's really disappointing D<... It almost makes me want to give up the series. Just a little.
