All forms of pony tail are winning in my book, although the side tail has always thrown me off, prolly cause of its lack of symmetry! TBH, the only one I'm quite iffy on is twin-tails, something about them just... irk me.

When I see a teen or older wearing pigtails I wonder if they really want to be a kid again or why don't they wear a more age appropriate hairstyle. I am able to stomach twin braids a little better, but only if they start from the nape and lay down on the front of the shoulders if they're long. |

Just the hairstyle and childish pout looks like she is trying too hard. To me. To look like a little innocent kid.
tbh that whole scene looks weird, especially White Wig Man in the back (can see his real dark hair under the wig). Is that a game? |

Yeah, to me on anyone over the age or 10 they look.. kinda wrong. I don't mind braids, like if they are (wrist) thick braids, but otherwise it seems childish (I really hate those twin braids that are short, and stiff and curl forward) . I rarely see the hairstyle locally though, mostly in media or on the intertubes. Honestly I think my distaste comes from 'actresses' portraying school students with the style.
