I will tell you how to figure out what Kodaka likes.

One example:
Kodaka complained once that Yozora don't look so cool any more since she cut her hair.

That means = Kodaka likes long hair.

If you go through the story and focus on such comments you can make a detailed profile of everything he likes. And then you can make a comparison which girl matches this profile.

Yozora as a character has deteriorated pretty fast for me. She's just generally unlikeable. At least she had long hair in the first season . I could definitely live with her being replaced by the student council president. At least Sena is alpha enough to just fess up, that alone makes her a much better pick (curves aside). Yozora just got NTR'ed big time.

I also concur with Aoi and the student council president being a nice addition to the cast, rather refreshing. I just hope we'll get another season to see them in action.

I haven't read the novels and I can tell you Kodaka's type:

Long dark hair
A build similar to Rika or Yozora
Chaste
Demure
Strong Willed (Yes, he wants both this and demure- Yamato Nadeshiko would be an example of this, although there are other variations, and Kodaka is not set on a Yamato Nadeshiko.)

Basically: What Rika would be if she weren't a perverted Fujoshi. Also, this what Yozora is, once you get past her barriers and harsh exterior.

This is not to say Kodaka doesn't find Sena attractive, nor does it mean she can't "win" just that it would be a selection against type. Sena is probably the least like his type. Again doesn't mean he can't end up with her. Many men end up with someone different from their "type" after all. We don't marry a "type" we marry a person.

Just saying though that Kodaka has shown a more natural interest in Yozora or even Rika then he has in Sena. This despite Sena giving him far more opportunities. Really, what kind of cheats is that rich girl using?

After readng afterwords of Volume 1, I'm thinking that maybe Yozora is the author in real life and this is what she feels as an introverted or idk lonely person.

As an author she have the power of her novel and maybe Yozora will win at the end.

It's actually 'Yozora's counter attack' which is why a simple translation into a different language can have a big difference (particularly further filtered by shipping lenses) - Is she going to bring Axis to smash down on Earth?

well Yozora will most probably give up being friends and start to work for something more than friends. somehow this is the feeling I get.

well everyone is talking about Kodaka's type. it is clear he doesn't have a type of girl. ı mean he pretty much accepts all girls are beautiful. he never said "she is beautiful yet she is not my type" and you all talk like he is madly in love with student councikl president. he most probably admires her personality and nothing more.

problem lies with Kodaka. his priority is to make friends not to find a girlfriend. no one understands him force her beliefs on him.

Yea, different translation groups translate differently. I'm not sure which is the most accurate translation since I can't read the source material.

I think he does feel something for Sena. It's the same as for Hinata. They're not his type, but OTOH, he wants to change. He admires them for being all the things he's not. Self-confident, free. (note: I didn't say it had anything to do with romantic love, though I suppose it could turn into that.)

Originally, I did believe that Yozora will be the end choice. However, after thinking about it, the author will most likely end with Sena and have Yozora come back strong as a good friend.

Why did I come to that conclusion? It has to do with the fan base. If what I have seen is correct, Sena is the overwhelming favorite girl in the fanbase. The last Valentine's poll for favorite girl amongst all anime girls past and present had Sena at #1. That's an insanely large fanbase for her. If the story ends up with anyone besides Sena, I'm thinking a riot might happen and fans will be mad at the author as well as merchandise. Sadly, even if the author intended and wanted to end with Yozora, I don't think she will.

It, like just about every other LN out there, will be resolved in one final volume after much ado about nothing in previous ones. Therefore, the decision to close, is simply to close, not to attract the biggest fan base (ie, say a run of 12 books, that's 1 out of 12 that's affected). You maintain interest via cliffhangers, and twists. Just like any soap on TV.

Romantic comedy hardly ever drags on forever after the final pairing. You either start with endless tease of the cannon pairing, or a roulette of girl of the day then a harem or one girl end in a flash (but with a long enough setup if required)

Lastly, author is a he (has this thread been derailed to LN discussion)?
