I don't agree because Ryuho can win "to help" the character to evolve. When I look Naruto vs Sasuke where Sasuke won but with a lot of difficulties, I think Ryuho can do the same. Win with a lot of difficulties. But here, maybe Yuna will learn from her defeat. It's not because she have a background that she will win for sure.

Defeat can mean that she need to train even more to be strong. It's a shonen cliche too, to see a main character lost against another (with no background or not as main as him), and learn from his defeat even if his past is interesting or something else. It's an ordeal or something to reach. It happens a lot for the main character in shonen by the way.

Yeah it's really bullshit, I was really disappointed. And I'm afraid that it will be the case for Koga. The staff said that it's about saints who have nothing (they are orphan in Saint Seiya), not really talented; and became really strong, who can beat anybody, even gods. And they wants to begin with this fact. But if Koga is the son of Seiya/Athena (my opinion), I would be a bit disappointed. He's not a guy who become strong because of his effort but because he's a "demi-god".

Well I can understand the fact that at the begining, he's not strong, but if he's the son of a god... It's a bit "too easy".

Anyway it's a shonen cliche, to be bad at start and really strong at the end. But I don't like when the main character is "I am the son of my father who was a super strong character" like Naruto or Ichigo from Bleach.

By the way, there is a spoil about the next episode. In the preview they speak about the Gold saint and he's:

Why is it that people always say that just because you have talent or good lineage, that means any hard work you put in is meaningless, or doesn't matter compared to other people? No matter how much talent you have or who your parents are, without at least some effort it will come to nothing in the end.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing Capricorn Iona soon, and the rest of the Saint Fight will prove to be interesting.

I don't really say that, you know. Look I say that I can understand the fact that a guy, even with genius blood, can be bad at start and begin to be more good. But I don't like that cliche.

Because it's not because your parents are strong that you will be strong! That's the reality. But in a lot of shonen, we have the cliche: son become like parents (especially the father who was a roxxxor).

A son of a lawyer may be not as good as him. It's something difficult!

i don't believe in "intelligent" genes or something else, and I hate that cliche.

I just find it very suck for him to keeps fail in finding Saori and when he though he finally found her, turns out she's just a fake, and having your body twisted like that is just well...hurts...a lot, but yeah i think it's almost safe to think that this fake Athena would be the one for Kouga not Yuna

although I had already realized Kouga/Yuna was a no go since I heard what they writer's trying to do with her character. Yuna is meant to portray a strong and independent woman, so she's not the sort of girl that would fall for your generic shounen protagonist.

The girls that fall for MCs are the ones in need of emotional help (and sometimes physical help too, but that's besides the point), so when I watched this episode everything fell into place. The fact that he's the pegasus saint and she's athena (well, a fake one, but still..) just makes it even more obvious.

So our speculations were pretty much spot on - Ionia said he was remade into a Gold Saint when Athena build Palaestra.

The story has definitely picked up - now they've brought in a lot of questions that needs to be answered. The "fight" between Kouga and Ionia brings back some memories as it showed the difference between bronze and gold with the cliche "stop attack with a finger" stuff that we've seen a lot in the original. It felt a bit weird that Ionia had a more telekinetic-type attack because the image of the Capricorn saint must have an Excalibur was too strong, but then with the current power difference if Ionia whips out Excalibur Kouga would've been diced meat.

Sadly looks like we will never knew who is stronger between Yuuna and Ryuho as their fight was interrupted.

Watched the 8th episode, wasn't so bad... but I'm waiting again for some good stuff.

Capricorn Iona is ok, but I'm waiting for a cool ennemy actually.But yeah he looks charismatic. Koga vs Iona was nice. It remind me of Gold vs Bronze too when they say "pffft what a pitiful attack, you think you can hurt me? Mere Bronze saints " I still don't like Koga, he's really annoying, even I liked him in the first episode. I hope he will become more cool... By the way, his fight against Mars was lol... Martiens are really ugly. Need cool ennemies!

Iona said he send some saints to Mars. A bit strange no... How can saints follow martians? Maybe they want to change the world or something like that...

About the fight Yuna/Ryuho, it was a bit predictable, so it's interupted...

The story become more interesting. Haruto seems cool too, I like his voice and like how he "pwned" Koga .

Still no emotion. Omega looks like a completly new shonen (with the name of Saint Seiya) but it's not a really good shonen like Naruto was at start for example.

Capricorn was pretty bad-ass even though he was only fighting a weak Kouga. Of course we would never see the conclusion of Yuna vs Ryuho. Lol how Eden ran away first. So we finally meet Haruto. So Eureka became the fake Athena.

The series is finally picking up! As we expected, the Saint fight was interrupted. They never even explained how promotion to Silver Saint work, and I doubt they ever will now.

Iona is a major badass. It's refreshing to see an old man as a a Gold Saint (there was Dohko, but he's sort of a special case). His massive stature makes him look more like a Taurus than a Capricorn, but I guess it doesn't really matter since it's unlikely there will be a Taurus saint in Omega. Anyway, he's shaping up to be a great character. Based on what he's said about being a former Gold saint, he could have an interesting backstory. It'd be neat if he did turn out to be Shura's master.

I really enjoyed the ass-kicking Kouga received. It wouldn't be Saint Seiya if the main characters didn't suffer horribly before claiming victory. And an armor finally cracked! Yeah! It looks good as new in the preview though, so Kiki won't be needed... yet.

My only complaints regarding this episode is that the Martians looked as horrible as before, and having a traitorous gold saints is not very original.

Maybe besides the Gold Cloths, other Cloths (Bronze & Silver) are free to be claimed by any saints?

My complain is after all these years of battling to protect the Earth from other gods, why can't Athena be more concern about the "quality control" of her saints? Isn't the betrayal of her saints in the first series led by Ares an anomaly? Even if there's some different principles among the saints, they are supposed to be all good guys, right?

It doesn't seem like Athena actually has control over the recruitment of saints. In all the previous generations we see that Athena is pretty much reincarnated on Earth and then recruited back into a Sanctuary that is already populated with many saints, so it seems that the "recruitment" is actually done by the Pope. Besides, Greek gods in the mythologies were constantly being out-witted by humans anyway so it's not really anything out of the ordinary, though it is a bit shameful that the Goddess of Wisdom (Athena) gets out-witted too, but I guess it could be explained away by her love for humans so she is inclined to think that humans are inherently good underneath and thus more trusting and forgiving than she should be (such as how she easily forgives Saga and Kanon etc).
