There are many ways to sink an IS. Can you at least list down many scenarios there? I can think of many things

Nemo is the straight man and tend to react more.

Name of new male lead:

Ian Li
Hidden meaning: One of the Antonyms of Nobody (Nemo) is anyone/anybody.
Ian is a form of John which in turn is a common name..... which also happened to be a common placeholder name (John Smith/Jon Doe). Lee/Li is also a pretty common Surname.

Personality-wise:
Ian is a very calm person, nothing wrong with that but the problem is: he is too calm to a point of indifferent.

He may displays some characterization of schizoid personality disorder..... though mostly because he is just really unmotivated to do stuff.

Ichika is 9 years younger than Chifuyu...

Chifuyu was 14 when the WK Incident happened, making Ichika 5 years old...

Two years of IS Limbo...

I want to say that she was around 16-17 when she won the first one...putting Ichika at 6-7 years old - which makes that one anime picture of the two of them after she won the first Mondo Grosso a little on the short side. Which goes into why Madoka is so SHORT...

- 3 years later, the 2nd Mondo Grosso occurs when she's 19-20ish...[Tempest is declared the winner by default]

1 year in Germany...

@Tempest: Ok, because I am rethinking of whether Madoka should have been scouted as an IS pilot when she was that young (when Chifuyu participates in 2nd Mondo Grosse). But I guess that throws that thing into the wrench.

You know, with the way I am rewriting Madoka, is that she dislikes Chifuyu much like the manner that Houki-Tabane relationship.

Sacred Twins is for me. Well, the thing is that Chifuyu and Ichika aren't twins, so they aren't fit for those titles. Alternatives include: Siblings of Sin, Sinful Siblings and Sacred Family. The Yin and the Yang.

machine wise:

Madoka is going to use the Kurogane, it's a midrange to far range unit that uses a particle rifle or the same rifle that Kuro kishi uses, so it also acts as a bayonet. But her unit doesn't LOOK like Kuro Kishi (which is not my ideal appearance as the anime makes it look like a recolored Silent Zephyrs)

Well, due to the nature of the beast, the timeline doesn't have to flow EXACTLY the way it is outlined in the novels...cuz mine sure isn't

So you wanted Madoka to be scouted away from Chifuyu? But by who...? Of course, if she doesn't like Chifuyu, almost anyone will do... Maybe Mussel, perhaps? I have a feeling that Madoka could be put out by all the attention on Ichika rather than with her...(she's a girl - of course she can pilot an IS).

Well the thing is that you know how Chifuyu won the first Mondo Grosse, some people were already taking the interest in Madoka, since she is the Chifuyu's "sister", hence they may think that she may have similar skills.

So if I readjusted the timeline, Madoka is already scouted but keeps close contact to Ichika, who (adjusting from canon events) take that exam but goes derp and enters the IS facility where they discover that Ichika is the first male that could pilot an IS.

This is the same facility that Madoka is being tested in, and both end up getting caught in the Phantom Task attack, so they aren't kidnapped like in the original setting but rather under an enemy IS attack. Madoka tries to fend them off but she fails. Ichika tries to get the IS moving, but is bashed aside. But then, both are saved by an enraged Chifuyu. and then life goes on.

Kurogane is weaker than Kuro Kishi. Think of Kurogane as high mobility Blue Tears without the Bit weapons with a close range weapon.

Hmm... A bit of addon wouldn't hurt. Ever think about a Rafale with the inner frame of Kurogane?

Possibly in terms of appearance, but the thing is that the Kurogane is developed as a scaled down Kuro Kishi. But even so, it is still a 3rd-3.5 gen unit much like Byaku Shiki but doesn't have the problem that continuously leaks power at a high rate. The fold out weapon connecting 3rd to 4th gen is the bayonet + 2 fold out knives stored on hips.

I'm thinking about a bird-alike appearance for Kurogane: twin beam rifle that could combine into on, while having an underlung beam blade on each. And an independent flight pack.
