I was just thinking that if they were to stop the anime, the Tower of Paradise Arc would be the perfect place to do it. It will probably cover around 50 episodes, which is a standard year season and the arc is the first really big arc in the story with the first long-established villain.

The only problem I see with that is that Natsu's past will never be revealed. I prefer the anime to be ongoing, like One Piece, and continue until the story is finished.

I'll rather they take the Major approach.... (2 cours airing, 2 off, repeat) keeps the animation level high and no need for crap filler.. horrible filler killed Naruto and Bleach for a lot of people... and got Rurouni Kenshin canceled....

RK ended with the Kyoto Arc, there was no 3rd season.

As far as I know, Natsu's past still hasn't been revealed outside of that he was trained by Igneel

Yeah, I know, but it will be revealed at some point, right?

I was looking at it from story completeness point - like if Natsu's past was already revealed, there would be no major unfinished plot points after the Tower of Paradise arc and the anime ending there would be acceptable (not ideal, but acceptable).

However, if they end it before revealing Natsu's past the way it is now, it will be incomplete.

I wonder what Gerard did with the Nirvana - did he destroy it, absorb it, or transform it into something else. What's with this guy and towers. One would think there was some sort of Freudian reason behind it all (nope..I didn't say it )

Midnight looks pretty calm for a guy who's supposed to be a beast when woken up.

Can't wait for the translation.

This is a possibility but since they were enemies before I don't see em going at each other throats again. She may seemed to have snapped but I think she's still got enough sanity to hold OS responsible. If anything she'll go crazy at the next OS she comes across which I'm guessing will be Angel, a kinda puppet master vs puppet master duel.....to be honest I'm looking at it as awesome cat fight

I'm actually kinda hoping for a Battle Royale of some sort to happen, be a little different from the 1 on 1 we've always had till now.

Chapter 142 is out...

Awesome chapter...this really puts things in a new direction.

So, basically Nirvana changes character alignments. Good people who harbor negative feelings become bad and visa versa. Cherie was already affected by it and her grief for Leon made nirvana change her alignment, which is why she attacked Gray. Hoteye also seems to be affected but in the other direction - he's all nice and friendly all of a sudden.

What about Natsu? His rage may definitely create a problem. Besides, evil Natsu will be fun to watch.

What about Gerard? He was ambiguous enough to begin with, so now it's even more complicated. Was he good and now he'll turn evil or visa versa?

In any case, this Nirvana is one of the better plot twists in a while. The concept of directing it towards a guild and changing its alignment is pretty innovative. I can't wait to see how it develops.

haha well I was wrong about one thing and that was Cherie not wailing on Gray.

Didn't see this coming, makes for a pretty interesting twist for things to come. Evil Natsu I'm totally behind that!

A Evil Natsu against Erza match up, would be good to see these 2 go at it for real this time.

I'll also guess that that dude(one Erza hates) will finally step up his game considering he knows all about Nirvana

They actually say during the chapter that it is possible Natsu's anger does not qualify as a negative emotion due to it being for another person (Erza) but it would be interested to see if it effects Erza herself (who knows what her mental state is like now knowing Gerard is alive).

Evil Erza = scary.

yea this is how I think it might go, probably hold true with Natsu not being effected and somehow Erza does but I want it the other way around. Never get enough of the main hero turning evil and having him go sorry on his buddies rear ends.

Somehow, I don't see that happening...

Erza is more level-headed than Natsu, so she has a smaller chance of being affected. Unless, she still feels some guilt over what happened with Gerard, which might cause her to turn, like it almost turned Wendy.

Either way, it would be fun to see one of them become evil for a while.
