This is seriously the most high fantasy story I've read in a while outside of Paladin.

Seriously can authors not come up with any other species besides elf dwarf and Beast people and humans? It's like there's only four types of standard species in low fantasy stories

Even elf has tribes and each one of them has peculiar traits and traditions~

But why didn't the subjugation team use the teleportation gate? Why did they protect it then?

They didn't use it because that headed to the ant dungeon.
The only reason dragons were there was because the dragons invaded the damn place after being driven out of the mountains by the big dragon.
They protected it because it's an easy source of revenue for the guild via hunting ants.

The dragon hunt itself is taking place in an unexplored region in some mountains. Presumably if there was a gate that would get them a head start there, it was already destroyed along with the villages in the surrounding area.
Otherwise, unexplored means no gates. And seeing as Kuna is kill, likely only the MC could set one up but he hasn't learned how to do that yet.

Also, in the heroine list, I forgot about Eris, the ponytail mage. Guess she just isn't loved. Haha. The wrinkly-face dragon isn't a heroine, right...? If she is, the pegasus can be one too because why not.
I also like how the heroines actually show how they have their own lives.
Like how Ponytail and the Egyptian Mage touched staves (sounds lewd) when greeting each other since they're friends.
Or how the knight elf has a seething hatred for anything dragon.

That previous mission, Shuuya hanged with Sara's clan more than Eris so not even a candidate yet, I guess.

Oh right, I forgot about the blonde slave? girl in one of the trapezohedron destinations that was praying to the mirror once he made it start to glow.

No I seriously feel like that's skill system has no place to be here. All of this could have been done properly without any skill system and just giving them Regular Magic names instead of calling them skills.
Makes quite a lot of things feel cheap.

^What skill system? There's no system here.

It's just whenever anyone does something good enough to a certain proficiency, random appropriate skill name is assigned for that action. There's endless possibility of what the skill name will be, thus if it can't be systemized then it's not a "system".

Also it is needed coz there's a clear difference between Skills, Mahou, and Magi. And the combination of those produces "combat job"'s name. So by knowing someone's job name, you can guess what techniques he possesses. Great innovation imho.

Well, he did say something along the lines when he first saw her that while she's good looking, something about her completely disgusts him.
I don't really see her being a heroine, servant, anything fun like that.

Could very easily betray my expectations, but there was the whole thing with Kuna and plotting women and all that left a bad taste for him.

Also, re-looking at what his direct servants get ability-wise, he can alter a portion of them and they have a good chance of getting a unique skill?
Sounds fun and vague. I wanna see it.

I wish when this arc is done at least 1 servant is obtained. Kisshu being the most likely candidate, since when I mentioned a bunch of names in the comment section, author only said Kisshu that is a candidate. and she's the only solo boukensha... at least before that Polar Bear Girl appeared.

Him losing the money God gave him at the start is a flag.
Him running from that ogre is a flag.
Not being able to shit is a flag.
His flat face is a flag.

Ironically, the last one probably is a flag.
Since he apparently isn't the only guy who's gotten to do the Character Making thing.
Granted this author might pull a new move and not make all those people Japanese, assuming some appear in story. That would be nice.
Otherwise his Asian features stand out quite a bit and seeing as he's making no attempt to hide his full Japanese name, he's easily recognizable.
Actually, this author does seem to like having interesting features for some people though, like the horse-faced elf man. So Japanese features may not stand out that much in end.
