A sudden blast from the past... Makes me want to play Excitebike I got for GameBoy...

And Dejiko just runs by nonchalantly in what appears to be a break-up scene...

I seriously hope the second season would be given new character designs and a new studio... Say, AIC Build?

They don't need new character designs. If anything, they need to get back closer to the manga designs.

Is princess derby a parody to an actual game series? Also what other game parody do you spot? I only spot "the fifth super moe girl war X" the obvious parody of super robot war, even down to the annoying long loading time SRW is infamous for.

I saw tons of console parodies in this episode but I only caught the Excitebike parody for the games. =p

Wish I could have MADD GAYMING SKILLZ like Keima.~

It's like his "god mode" is some kind of shounen technique. =p

This would have to be one of the best episodes ever! Seeing god capturing mode animated for the first time was amazing, and telling us there's going to be a second season awesome.

Btw. My favs is Shiori and Chihiro (too good to choose) whats yours?

Yeah, I like how he was talking as if he was fighting against some kinda strong opponent in shounen manga.

For some reason, although the episode was just Keima playing games the entire time, I found myself smiling throughout the whole episode.

Anyway, have the seiyuus for season 2's characters been confirmed? I'm intrested to know whos voicing for Haqua.

Final note, that ending song was PIERCING!!! My ears were bleeding at the end of that D:

Yeah, this was definitely the best fucking ending of anything this YEAR.

I don't want the studio or character design to change.

Fucking ending theme had me crying I was laughing so hard.

In general the music for this show gives off a slight Ah! My Goddess air to it.

Maybe I'm alone in thinking that, haha.

I'm totally against this idea. I love Watanabe Akio's designs, and personally find them one of the best parts of the adaptation. Seriously added to Shiori's cuteness.

Can't say I agree. Felt to me more like Keima was going on an acid trip or something.

From what I heard of the ED (skipped most of it), it was absolutely wretched. Goes to show that not all seiyuu's are great singers.

That was the point. You're supposed to laugh at Keima, not with him.

Also, the ending was intentionally bad, and I personally thought it was hilariously entertaining.

Found it more weird than funny TBH. He was pretty damn awesome when he was playing the games but once that fantasy came along all I could think was "someone's a little TOO into their galge.

his more like "more into the game" as along as a game and a heroine is involve. It's a galge to him. And the ending song was so epic I'm just laughing at it while bashing how horrible the song is but I can't stop listening to it.

Hiro Shimono can sing, but yes it was entirely intentional.

He sings it normally here, except he gets drowned out by the children's choir and ELISA instead lol. I'm very glad manglobe did what they did with the ending song for the episode itself.

Hahahaha what for an ending, half of the ep i was "ROFL", each time Elyse tried to visit him in his room. And the ending was the best thing ever, i had tears in my eyes from so much laughing. It was absolutely epic hilarious.

ps: If his mother wanted Keima to play fewer, she should just cut his pocket money. The guy has definite to much money... it reminds me of a guy in an article who has xxxl WOW acounts and also play with 6 monitors or so...

As for the episode, it's amusing to say the least. The only part I laughed at the whole episode is when Shimono Hiro started singing. Gawd that was awful in a hilarious way. Overall the series was kinda a letdown for me but decent adaptation, not bad.
