I think one of the main causes of ambiguity is the fact that, in all the previous school mysteries, we've discovered that most of them (ignoring the memorial stone) were just the result of Yuuko messing around, and then conveniently forgetting about what she did. This time though, we've seen a rumor take root from Teiichi's point of view. What exactly does "becoming part of the school mysteries" entail in this case anyway?

Definitely need the epilogue for this one.

No, he did it to himself. She had no control over this. He's the one who wrote that story. And for the last time, he isn't dead. He still exists in this world, he hasn't passed on.

And what do you mean he had his whole life in front of him? He didn't lose it. In fact, he kept his life by doing this. You're trying to twist this into "Yoko yandere-killed him", but that isn't remotely what happened.

Let's go over this nice and easy so you understand.
  1. Yoko was gone
  2. The story was necessary to bring her back
  3. Teiichi created and modified the story
  4. Teiichi wrote him being with Yoko into the story
  5. Teiichi's story takes hold and he becomes the same existence as Yoko.
  6. They meet again.
  7. The End.

I'm with CB. I feel bad for he's parents and friends who have to live the fact they someone important to them. Wherever it was murder/suicide or whatever doesn't change the fact it's fucked up. Happy for him and Yoko sure, but not so much for everyone else left living to deal with what happened.

My god...

We don't even know if he's dead! The chapter ends as he's walking way with Yuuko, something he's been doing for the entire series!

Oh, come on. And we had just gotten the trolls worked up. How are we going to get them to dance now?

I don't like dancing trolls. =_=

Anyway, the ending, while an impressive one, felt really inconclusive. Hopefully, the epilogue would add a lot of stuff into the story.

The epilogue was supposed to be released end of last month. Does anyone have a summary of it?

Summary of the epilogue (part 1?) http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=653307

If the post is right, there might be a part 2.

Why so skeptical? You were so quick to believe Teiichi was dead with no corpse or witnesses to confirm he was dead.

The ending left that possibility wide open. I didn't want anyone to think that Teichi dying for the express purpose of being with Yuuko was a good thing under any circumstances. What's more, seeing how her life was taken from her, getting a second chance is something she more than deserves.

And it's one thing for him to risk his life for her sake. It's quite another for him to die because he or she simply can't be without one another.

What's more, it contradicted what we knew about Yuuko. She wasn't a malicious entity. She was a responsible, good-hearted person in life. The mere thought that she would be happy that Teiichi died for any reason is a terrible one.

Besides...I want some half-ghost babies dammit and this series had better deliver!

That's good to hear, because I sure didn't think you believed the ending was open before here:

A multi-episode epilogue.. hmmm. And another mystery? Is this something completely off tangent or is it going to expand on the ending?

Well, congratulations. Now everyone who argued over whether or not Yuuko was "murdering" the MC gets to look like an ass. Including me. Thanks, Author, old chum.

I'm betting a certain someone will complain that the mangaka chickened out and had the main character come back through some bull**** method.

I thought the chapter was fine.

Hey, it's more Yuuko! And she can leave the school grounds. I wonder how far she can go... and if Teiichi lives far enough away that 'late night hauntings' won't occur.
